The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sotto.
Sotto misses with a wild body shot.
A swing and a miss from Sotto.
Sotto thows a body shot but no joy.
Sotto throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Visigoth fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sotto sprawls well initially but Visigoth persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Visigoth lands strikes from half guard.
Visigoth is nestled in close to Sotto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Visigoth takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sotto is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Visigoth scores with a couple of nice shots.
Sotto is rocked!
Visigoth landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Oh Sotto is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Visigoth winds up and cracks Sotto with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Visigoth lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sotto quite badly. Sotto pulls Visigoth in close trying to recover. Visigoth postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sotto on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sotto doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alaric Visigoth!

McGuire throws a nice inside leg kick.
McGuire ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
McGuire throws a leg kick which misses Rangarajan's front leg but catches the back leg as Rangarajan tries to avoid it.
McGuire looks to score with a jab to the body but Rangarajan is just out of range.
Rangarajan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McGuire throws out the jab.

McGuire keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
McGuire works Rangarajan's body with a nice hook.

McGuire lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Jagdish Rangarajan has been cut.
McGuire ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rangarajan moves away.
Rangarajan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McGuire finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McGuire throws a hook to the side of Rangarajan's head but Rangarajan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McGuire misses with a body shot.
McGuire lands a slapping body shot.
McGuire ducks under a wild hook from Rangarajan.
McGuire connects with a body shot that sends Rangarajan's belly button to the back.
Rangarajan is breathing heavily.
McGuire throws a leg kick
and Rangarajan counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
McGuire throws a sloppy head kick and Rangarajan moves out of range easily.
McGuire looks to score with a jab to the body but Rangarajan is just out of range.
McGuire thows a body shot but no joy.
McGuire stuns Rangarajan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGuire tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

McGuire ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rangarajan moves away.
McGuire connects with a nice looking jab.

Rangarajan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McGuire. McGuire obviously looking to wear him down.
McGuire is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rangarajan rather than just go for the knockout.
McGuire fails in his attempt to clinch.
McGuire fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Rangarajan to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Rangarajan looks to clinch but McGuire throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Rangarajan taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
