The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alighiero as he avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Rocha throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Alighiero connects with a body shot.
Rocha misses with the combination.
Rocha takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Alighiero avoids a kick to the body.
Alighiero bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Rocha looks gassed!
Alighiero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Alighiero is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rocha to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rocha shrugs it off.

Carlos Rocha's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

BOOM! Alighiero lands a beautiful left hook that drops Rocha. Rocha tries to recover but Alighiero is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Rocha lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Diaz gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Diaz is looking to escape.
Diaz tries to get to full guard but Machine has control of the leg.
