Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Omori! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damon Nickleson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Omori clinches. Omori drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Omori tries to land a knee to the head but Nickleson blocks with his arms.
Omori fails to pull guard.
Omori has Nickleson pressed against the cage, preventing Nickleson from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Nickleson avoiding damage as Omori throws knees to the body.
Nickleson breaks from the clinch.
Omori takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nickleson lands a jab. Omori darts in and clinches Nickleson up against the cage. Omori tries for a takedown but Nickleson manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Omori. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Omori escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A jab lands there for Nickleson. Sloppy strikes from Nickleson. Those never looked like landing. Nickleson throws a nice looking combination but Omori bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nickleson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Omori will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Omori misses with a takedown attempt and Nickleson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Nickleson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Omori circles away quickly and effectively. Damon Nickleson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good shot there by Nickleson. Omori has managed to clinch.
Nickleson is looking to control Omori's arms but Omori gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nickleson has his back to the cage. Nickleson is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. Omori decides to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Nickleson sitting in guard here, content to control. Nickleson wants to get up but he can't break Omori's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nickleson trying to control but Omori is working from the bottom. Omori is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nickleson defends well. Nickleson stays in close to Omori's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Damon Nickleson. Nickleson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Nickleson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Nickleson duly obliges.
It looks like Paul Omori has been cut. Omori takes one on the button. Nickleson scores with a nice head shot. Omori doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nickleson counters with a left and a right that stings Omori. Nickleson lands with a nice combination. Omori backs away looking to recover. An inside leg kick lands from Omori. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nickleson closes the distance and lands a one-two. A cross from Nickleson lands. Oooooh!!! Nickleson has knocked Omori down with a huge combo! Nickleson steps away and waves a wobbly Omori back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Omori is rocked! Nickleson throws a right and a left that both miss. Oh Omori is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nickleson throws a nice looking combination but Omori bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Good exchange - Nickleson coming out on top. Nickleson dips to his left and cracks Omori with an uppercut! Nickleson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Decent striking displayed by Nickleson there. A punch lands to the side of Omori 's head but he takes it in his stride. It's a brutal combination of punches from Nickleson! Omori is backing up but he can't get away as Nickleson lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Omori and ends the fight. Great knockout.

"I don't think so" says McCrary as he avoids it easily. McCrary changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. McCrary throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown but McCrary shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. McCrary throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cade McCrary is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rogers closes this distance looking for a takedown but McCrary circles away. McCrary throws a right and a left that Rogers avoids nicely.

McCrary scores with a kick to the midsection. Rogers is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McCrary scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Rogers takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rogers fails with a takedown attempt. McCrary scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rogers in his tracks. Rogers is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McCrary. McCrary tries to bum rush Rogers with a series of wild strikes but Rogers uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rogers shoots in for a takedown but McCrary shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. McCrary stuns Rogers with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. McCrary displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Rogers tries to clinch up but McCrary circles away and keeps his distance. McCrary jabs Rogers to the body, keeping him at a distance. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rogers. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCrary throws a right and a left that Rogers avoids nicely. McCrary swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McCrary lands with a shot to the body. McCrary swats away the attempt to clinch by Rogers. Horrible takedown by Rogers or perhaps it was just good defense by McCrary which made him look bad. No joy there for McCrary, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McCrary throws a right and a left that Rogers avoids nicely. Nice jab there from McCrary. McCrary lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rogers looks for a takedown but McCrary sprawls well. McCrary lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Rogers takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McCrary fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rogers looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. McCrary scores with a sloppy right hand. Rogers should have avoided that one. McCrary lands a big head kick that sends Rogers tumbling to the mat! McCrary takes a step backwards and waves Rogers back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rogers is rocked! McCrary lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rogers at a distance.
Oh Rogers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Some wild striking there from McCrary.
McCrary fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Rogers seems to have got his legs back now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Danga de danga de dang - McCrary scores with a four punch combination! McCrary is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rogers rather than just go for the knockout. The ref watches Rogers closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!
