2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Aldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, May Money! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Money tries to clinch but Aldo moves away
and Aldo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Money's guard now. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Money looking for a sweep. Not yet Money, not yet. Aldo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Money controls Aldo momentarily but Aldo frees himself. Money wants to stand but Aldo is controlling the position. Money wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aldo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Money is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Money has escaped and now he's on top! Aldo pulls Money in to control the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
 We're going to have a standup here because Jose Aldo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Aldo shoots in but Money avoids the takedown attempt easily. Money fails in his attempt to clinch. Aldo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Money sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aldo somewhat.
Money closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aldo's guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Money looking to sit in guard and control but Aldo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Money controlling Aldo's posture. Aldo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Aldo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Money looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Money looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Money! Money throwing strikes but Aldo manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Money wants to control but Aldo postures up. Money is looking to regain half guard here but Aldo keeps moving and retains side control. Money really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aldo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Money struggling a bit here. Money looks gassed! Money wants to get back to his feet but Aldo drags him back down. Money can't do much from the bottom here. Money tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Aldo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Money is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Aldo is trying to get an arm triangle but Money is defending well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aldo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Aldo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Money, who protects the arm well. Money is trying to control Aldo's posture but Aldo avoids it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aldo has an Americana. Money didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Aldo is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Aldo hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jose Aldo! During a confident post fight interview, Jose Aldo thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monyet misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Monyet throws a solid leg kick but Nero takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Monyet.
Nero closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Nero is trying to control. Monyet wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Monyet is looking for a sweep. Nero is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nero passes the guard and advances to mount! Nero is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Monyet can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
 It looks like Anak Monyet has been cut. Monyet is in a horrible position here. Nero smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Monyet tries to improve his position but Nero has taken his back! Nero has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Monyet tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Nero pushes Monyet away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Raphael Nero! In his post fight interview, Raphael Nero started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Geek Fighter takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Geek Fighter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ra, pushing him back against the cage.
Ra's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Geek Fighter looking to score a takedown here. Ra is defending well but Geek Fighter drives through and ends up in Ra's guard. Geek Fighter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ra swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Geek Fighter sitting in guard, not really doing much. Geek Fighter throwing strikes from guard but Ra blocks nicely. Ra manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Geek Fighter holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Ra tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ra thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Geek Fighter is trying desperately to improve position. Geek Fighter wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ra.
Ra with shots to the head and body - Geek Fighter looks very uncomfortable down there. Geek Fighter tries to reverse the position but Ra maintains control. Geek Fighter holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Ra tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Ra unloads with some shots from mount but Geek Fighter bucks and avoids them well.
Poor strikes thrown by Ra there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Geek Fighter manages to regain half guard. Good work.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Geek Fighter keeps working. Ra sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Geek Fighter defending well though. Ra not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Geek Fighter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ra. Ra winds up and cracks Geek Fighter with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ra throws a strike but Geek Fighter avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Ra stops Geek Fighter from standing up. Geek Fighter lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ra! Geek Fighter has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ra's face.

Ra is desperately trying to improve his position but Geek Fighter has a good base and remains in mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Geek Fighter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

BOOM! Geek Fighter connects with a massive shot to the dome!

 Ra is rocked! Ra tries to hold on but Geek Fighter postures up. Oh Ra is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Geek Fighter scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Geek Fighter postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Ra badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Geek Fighter around the waist but Geek Fighter pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Geek Fighter is the winner by TKO! Geek Fighter jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Geek Fighter! Mark Geek Fighter spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Steve Oh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Oh. Abuabu misses with an uppercut. Oh on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Abuabu feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ohs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Oh's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Abuabu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Oh scrambles back to his feet. Good shot there by Abuabu. Oh misses with a jab, cross combination.

Abuabu jabs at Oh's body. Oh takes a swing at Abuabu's ribcage but misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Good leg kick by Abuabu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Oh throws out a leg kick but Abuabu moves out of range and Oh only half commits. Abuabu cracks Oh with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Biru Abuabu will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Biru Abuabu's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Gat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Wade stuffs the takedown attempt from Gat. Gat gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Gat. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wade throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gat. Wade swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Bidda. Bidda misses with a leg kick. Guillard throws a right and a left that both miss. Some wild striking there from Guillard.
Bidda takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Bidda misses with a low kick as Guillard jumps back. Guillard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round but I would say that Charles Bennett will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Tim Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddell lands a leg kick that knocks Johnson off balance momentarily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors!
