Menson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rabban looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Menson decides to stand back up. Menson steps back and let's Rabban get back to his feet. Menson tries to clinch but Rabban is having none of it. Rabban misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Menson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Rabban is looking for a sweep. Menson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rabban actively working from the bottom here. Rabban wants to improve his position but Menson is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rabban is looking for a sweep. Menson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Menson is trying to control the action in half guard but Rabban is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rabban is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Menson is tapping! Great win for Rabban!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wiggum Ralph! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Fenili! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ralph throws a low kick, looking for Fenili's leg but Fenili calmly moves out of range. Ralph thuds a left hand into Fenili's body. Fenili fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fenili feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Fenili trying to control the position from guard on top but Ralph is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ralph knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fenili on the ground. Ralph is trying to keep Fenili in close.
Fenili missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fenili would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ralph tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ralph is trying to keep Fenili in close.
Ralph really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fenili has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ralph is proving hard to escape from. Fenili has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fenili lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fenili looking to pass the guard. Ralph has a closed guard, preventing Fenili from standing up. Fenili pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ralph is keeping the position for now. Fenili trying to control but Ralph is working from the bottom. Fenili is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ralph will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ralph showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fenili.
Fenili takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Ralph throws a front kick aimed at Fenili's knee but Fenili avoids it well. Wiggum Ralph is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fenili stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Fenili fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ralph misses with a body kick. A head kick misses from Ralph. Fenili fails with a takedown attempt. Wiggum Ralph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Fenili. Horrible takedown by Fenili or perhaps it was just good defense by Ralph which made him look bad. Ralph cracks the inside of Fenili's front leg. Fenili fails with the takedown. Fenili shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ralph as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ralph walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fenili checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Ralph keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ralph darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ralph thows a body shot but no joy. Ralph throws a nice inside leg kick. Fenili walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ralph. Ralph misses with a wild body shot. Ralph misses with a leg kick and Fenili counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ralph's guard now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ralph manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fenili manages to get himself to full guard.

A close round but Gabriel Fenili will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ralph throws a leg kick and Fenili counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ralph is trying to control the position but Fenili postures up. Fenili stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ralph swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ralph is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ralph utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fenili trying to control the position from guard on top but Ralph is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fenili drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ralph manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fenili has Ralph in his guard. Ralph is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A nice inside leg kick there by Ralph. That's going to slow Fenili down. Ralph throws a head kick that misses. A chopping leg kick lands by Ralph. Ralph lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fenili at a distance.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Ralph. Ralph jabs Fenili to the body, keeping him at a distance. Fenili moves forwards but Ralph connects with a nice, crisp jab. Fenili closes the distance and clinches up with Ralph, looking for a takedown. Fenili pushes Ralph against the cage but Ralph circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fenili changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ralph tries to avoid it but Fenili manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ralph to the ground. Ralph escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fenili shoots in for a takedown but Ralph shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ralph holds on and takes a little breather. Fenili throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ralph works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ralph wants to sweep here but Fenili controlling him for the moment. Fenili trying to control but Ralph is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fenili working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fenili trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ralph manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ralph here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Ralph lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fenili's sensitive parts. Ralph ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fenili moves away. Fenili has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Ralph. Ralph throws a nice looking combination but Fenili bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. That kick from Ralph tenderised Fenili's leg. Fenili is trying to keep his angry face on. Fenili shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ralph counters with a thumping low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ralph lands a leg kick that knocks Fenili off balance momentarily. Fenili walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ralph loads up on a big right hand but Fenili slips the punch. Ralph scores with a leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fenili is defended easily by Ralph. Ralph is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Fenili takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ralph dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fenili. That did some damage! Ralph lands a really nice looking cross but Fenili seems unphased.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ralph throws a right and a left that both miss. Ralph fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fenili has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Fenili blocks a head kick by Ralph.
Fenili closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fenili tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fenili has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ralph is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fenili's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. We're going to have a standup here because Wiggum Ralph wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ralph displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fenili. Fenili tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ralph is able to avoid easily. Ralph throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fenili. Fenili ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ralph moves away. Fenili tries for a takedown but Ralph sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fenili shoots in looking for a takedown. Ralph tries to sprawl out of it but Fenili keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ralph manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fenili's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Ralph plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
And that's the end of the fight! Wiggum Ralph showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ralph has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Wiggum Ralph! Wiggum Ralph retains his lightweight title! After the fight, Wiggum Ralph was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
