Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Chiappe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyson Austin!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chiappe gets a takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Austin tries to get to full guard but Chiappe has control of the leg.
Austin regains full guard. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chiappe wants to control from the top but Austin keeps moving.
Chiappe tries to stand but Austin is controlling from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chiappe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Austin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Austin tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Austin has his foot on Chiappe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chiappe works his way back into a safe position though.
Chiappe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Austin's head.

Austin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chiappe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Austin is tightening it up a little... Chiappe has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Chiappe reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Chiappe taps out! Nice BJJ there by Austin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rexum throws a hook but Blast blocks it.
Rexum throws a wild body kick that Blast sees coming a mile off.
Rexum lands with a nice combination. Blast backs away looking to recover.
Rexum stuffs the takedown.
Arthur Rexum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blast throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rexum's waist but Rexum gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blast off to one side.
Blast closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rexum circles away.
Arthur Rexum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Blast.
Blast shoots for a takedown but Rexum saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rexum misses with the combination.
Rexum misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blast.
Rexum lands with an overhand left.

Rexum lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Blast out cold! Blast is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Arthur Rexum!
Arthur Rexum was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Poebalunaka comes into the arena with Morbid Angel - Rapture blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Huey Freeman was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Freeman closes the distance and pushes Poebalunaka back into the cage.
Poebalunaka jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Freeman walks away with a smile on his face. Poebalunaka gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Poebalunaka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Poebalunaka dives in and grabs Freeman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Freeman pushes down on Poebalunaka's head and hops out.
Freeman wants to clinch.

Poebalunaka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Freeman can't do much from the bottom here.

Poebalunaka looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Freeman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Poebalunaka wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Freeman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Freeman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Poebalunaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Poebalunaka has control of Freeman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Freeman regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Nakutin works over Lake's head and body with a nice combination.
Lake darts in trying to clinch
and Nakutin counters with a left to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nakutin finds Lake's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Lake flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Nakutin lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Lake will be OK.
