Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Eslay tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eslay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Eslay throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease.

Eslay tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Eslay shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Eslay to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Eslay throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Gracie's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Eslay dives in looking to finish as Gracie flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Eslay's strikes! Eslay is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Gracie's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Gracie was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
