6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandon Silvestry! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silvestry shoots in for a double leg but Connell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Silvestry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Connell's waist but Connell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silvestry off to one side. Connell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silvestry paws at him with a jab and circles away. Silvestry slaps away a takedown attempt from Connell, before circling back to the center of the mat. Connell is looking to clinch. Silvestry gets caught flat footed, as Connell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Connell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silvestry swivels though and keeps the full guard. Connell postures up.
Connell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Connell scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Connell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Silvestry is trying to control the position but Connell postures up. Connell scoring with punches to the head and body. Silvestry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Connell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Connell postures up in Silvestry's guard and throws a big left but Silvestry blocks it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silvestry preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Connell passes into half guard.

Silvestry looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Connell puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Connell prevents Silvestry from improving his position.

Silvestry has hold of Connell's hands but Connell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Silvestry wants to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silvestry can do anything to dispel that myth. Silvestry flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Connell seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Connell working Silvestry over with strikes. Silvestry is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Connell scores with a couple of nice shots. Connell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silvestry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Connell seems to be looking for submissions.

Connell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Connell wants it to stay on the feet. Connell takes the fight into the clinch. Connell breaks from the clinch.
Connell gets a clinch. Connell pushes off an throws an elbow but Silvestry leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Silvestry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Connell wants to clinch up but Silvestry keeps it at a distance. No luck for Silvestry with that takedown attempt. Doran Connell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Silvestry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silvestry keeps the fight on the outside. Silvestry feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Connell is on top in guard.

This has been an exciting period of action! Silvestry looking for a sweep. Not yet Silvestry, not yet. Connell connects with a couple of short punches. Connell with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Silvestry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Nice work. Silvestry is staying active underneath Connell, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Connell working to pass to mount. Connell gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Connell creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Silvestry is looking to take this one to the mat. Connell lands an elbow inside. Connell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Connell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Silvestry can do to turn this around? Silvestry is rocked! The referee asks Connell politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Connell prefers to stall for the moment though. Silvestry is still in real trouble! Can Connell finish him? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Connell working the ground and pound. Doran Connell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Connell cracks Silvestry with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Connell immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Silvestry is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Connell!

Ortiz pulls Siwon in close to his closed guard and prevents Siwon from doing any damage or advancing position. Siwon throws a big right hand that misses. Ortiz is looking to stand up but Siwon isn't so interested in that idea. Siwon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ortiz works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Siwon drops back looking for a leg! Ortiz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ortiz manages to kick Siwon off! Siwon jumps back into Ortiz's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Siwon drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Siwon seems to have locked his on tight now - Ortiz screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Siwon, as he picks up the win!

Poor timing from Hood. Grip cracks the inside of Hood's front leg. Grip looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Vice Grip seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grip connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Hood to the floor! Grip dives in looking for the finish!

Deep is trying desperately to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oblaks goes for an armbar but Deep turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Deep. Deep looking to pass the guard. Oblaks is looking to sinch up a triangle. Deep throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Oblaks's body to avoid the submission. Oblaks has instead reached around Deep's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Oblaks arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ibragimov misses with a takedown attempt - Hekmatyar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ibragimov with a lazy takedown attempt and Hekmatyar moves into the clinch. Ibragimov is trying to break the clinch but Hekmatyar has him pressed against the cage. Hekmatyar lands a shoulder strike. Hekmatyar makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Hekmatyar has Ibragimov pressed against the cage, preventing Ibragimov from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Hekmatyar lands a left hand.
Hekmatyar scores with a nice hook to the head. Ibragimov takes a shot to the head. Hekmatyar creates a bit of distance and cracks Ibragimov with a massive left hook! Ibragimov crumples out of camera shot, completely unconscious! He's been Nelmarked! Hekmatyar stares at him for a moment then struts over to his corner, victorious.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Borisov circles away quickly and effectively. Ho throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Borisov's waist but Borisov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ho off to one side. Ho shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Borisov counters with a left to the body. Ho throws out a loose jab but Borisov uses good head movement to avoid it. Borisov jabs Ho to the body, keeping him at a distance. Borisov throws an overhand right that lands on Ho's shoulder, as Ho tries to avoid the shot. Ho slips under a jab. Ho misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Borisov looks to throw the jab but Ho is out of range. Noah Ho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Ho.

Davis doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gabonica counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Gabonica buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A solid leg kick lands there for Gabonica.
