The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Earp closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. David did well to prevent Earp getting side control. Earp sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. David defending well though. Earp scores with a couple of good hammerfists. David knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Earp on the ground. Earp has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can David defend it? Earp steps over the head and cranks it - David is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Earp!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Wyatt Earp! Wyatt Earp really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Saving Grace Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ballard clinches. Ballard manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ballard on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ballard tries to get out of the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Estep throws a big elbow that misses. Estep postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Estep throwing strikes from guard but Ballard blocks nicely. Estep throws a big elbow that misses. Estep drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Estep jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Estep with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Estep preventing the sweep. Estep wants to control from the top but Ballard keeps moving. Ballard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ballard working a defensive guard but Estep manages to pass into side control anyway.
Ballard takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Estep in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Ballard is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

and Holiday counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Brody fails to land with a series of punches.
Holiday throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
This has been an exciting period of action! Holiday connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Holiday moves into range and clinches up with Brody. Holiday pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Holiday throws a powerful right kick. Brody tried to block low but the kick was high! Brody was taken right off of his feet! Holiday jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barker as he avoids it easily. Barker feints and as Smith raises his hands in defense, Barker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Barker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Barker throwing strikes from guard but Smith blocks nicely. Smith looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Barker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Barker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Barker won't allow Smith to sweep him here. Smith keeping moving, preventing Barker from controlling successfully. Barker stands up from Smith's guard - Barker perhaps looking for a knockout. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Smith wants to clinch. Barker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Barker looks up at the clock and then as Smith takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Barker smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Barker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smith knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Barker is breathing heavily. Barker stands up and beckons Smith to his feet. Smith throws a leg kick but Barker sees it coming and checks it nicely. No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith throws a head kick that misses. Barker misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Smith goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith fails with a takedown attempt. Andrew Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Smith. Barker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith. Barker stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet. Barker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one. Smith tries for a takedown but Barker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Smith gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barker to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Barker scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Barker passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Barker is controlling the pace.
Smith tries to roll over but Barker keeps him under control. Barker lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Barker is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Barker wants to free his trapped foot but Smith is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barker is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Smith looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Barker stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Smith to get to his feet. Barker shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Left hook, right uppercut from Smith.
It looks like Andrew Barker has been cut. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smith digs a good body shot into Barker's ribs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! No luck with that takedown attempt from Smith. Barker circles away from the clinch attempt and Barker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barker pinned against the cage. Barker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Barker drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Barker is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Barker takes a shot to the head. Smith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Barker has him pressed against the cage. Barker breaks from the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Barker is defended easily by Smith. Smith stuffs the takedown. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith connects with a body shot that sends Barker's belly button to the back. Barker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barker wants it to stay on the feet. Andrew Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Smith. Barker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith. Smith looks for a takedown but Barker sprawls well. Barker gets a clinch. Smith jumps into guard, dragging Barker to the mat.
Barker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Barker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Barker landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith keeping moving, preventing Barker from controlling successfully. Andrew Barker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Smith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

You can see the frustration on Barker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Smith lands some shots froms side control. Smith has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Barker is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Smith yanks on the arm and Barker is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lovell throws a big shot that misses. Lovell takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Lovell slaps away a takedown attempt from Hagan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hagan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hagan misses with the combination.
Hagan shoots in looking for a takedown but Lovell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hagan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lovell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hagan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lovell swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Hagan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hagan closes the distance and clinches up with Lovell, looking for a takedown. Hagan pushes Lovell against the cage but Lovell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hagan moves into the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Hagan fails to land. Hagan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lovell's efforts to push away. Lovell tries to land knees in the clinch but Hagan avoids the damage to the body. Hagan manages to break the clinch.
Lovell misses with a double jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lovell misses with a straight right. Hagan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lovell looks gassed! Hagan is trying to control the action in half guard but Lovell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lovell is defending against the submission attempts here by Hagan.
Lovell is looking to escape. Hagan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hagan stands up from half guard. Hagan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lovell misses with a leg kick. Hagan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lovell circles away quickly and effectively. Hagan doesn't manage to clinch there - Lovell circles away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hagan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hagan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hagan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lovell down.
Hagan wants to control but Lovell is keeping him busy. Lovell is trying to control Hagan's posture but Hagan avoids it. Hagan has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagan has control of Lovell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lovell regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lovell wants to control but Hagan is having none of it. Hagan is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lovell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lovell tries to improve his position but instead Hagan has taken his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hagan's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Estep throws a sloppy head kick and Sizemore moves out of range easily. Del Estep seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Estep is looking to clinch. Sizemore misses with a kick to the body.
A head kick misses from Estep. Sizemore jabbing away but nothing is landing. Estep misses with a takedown attempt - Sizemore sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sizemore swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The fight stays on the outside here - Estep looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Estep tries for a takedown but Sizemore sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sizemore should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Estep tries to clinch up but Sizemore circles away and keeps his distance. Estep tries to clinch there but Sizemore circles away.

Estep gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sizemore counters with a nice double leg into side control. Estep won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Del Estep. That's going to take a lot out of him. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Sizemore taking a breather here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Let's hope that Sizemore has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Estep can't do much from the bottom here. Sizemore lands a nice forearm strike. Estep struggling a bit here. Estep regains half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sizemore lands a nice short elbow. Sizemore is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Sizemore tries to pass to full mount but Estep defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Estep pushes Sizemore off looking to stand but Sizemore dives back in and keeps control.

Sizemore has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Estep works to full guard. Sizemore controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Estep is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sizemore not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Markus Sizemore. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Estep moves in looking to clinch but Sizemore pushes him off. Estep tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sizemore fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Estep misses with a takedown and Sizemore counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Estep! Estep is breathing heavily. Estep is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sizemore content just to control the position here. Sizemore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Estep. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sizemore avoids the attempt from Estep to control. Sizemore controlling his opponent. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Markus Sizemore. Estep with a poor takedown and Sizemore counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sizemore cracks Estep with a solid left hand. Estep is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sizemore wants to control from the top but Estep keeps moving. Estep escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sizemore gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sizemore trying to control the position from guard on top but Estep is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McCoy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. McCoy tries to sprawl but Prototype drives through with a takedown into half guard. Nice strikes from Prototype there. Prototype thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McCoy's head. Prototype controlling the action here. Prototype throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chad Harkleroad. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harkleroad, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
