1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lake! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lake dodges the punch combination from Lumens.
Lumens throws a right hand that Lake ducks under and follows up with a left that Lake also avoids with ease. Lake showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lumens.
Lake moves into the clinch. Lumens looking for a takedown. A right hook to the body lands for Lake.
Lake lands a takedown into guard.
Lake stands up from guard. Let's bang! Lake shoots in but Lumens avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Oooooh!!! Lumens has knocked Lake down with a huge combo! Lumens steps away and waves a wobbly Lake back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

 It looks like Bruce Lake has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lumens throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lake darts in and clinches Lumens up against the cage. Lumens has had enough of the clinch but Lake keeps him there for the moment. Lake lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Lake clinches. Lake blocks a body shot from Lumens. Lumens tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lake avoids it.
Lake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lumens misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lake fails to land the takedown. Franco Lumens is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lake shoots in for a takedown but Lumens shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Franco Lumens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Lake. Lumens throws a right and a left that Lake avoids nicely. Lumens fails to land with a series of punches.

Lumens is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lake is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lumens drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lake looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lake looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lake!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Lumens tries to control but Lake manages to take his back. You can see the frustration on Lumens's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

I would not like to be Lumens right now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lumens looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Franco Lumens will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bruce Lake's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lake fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lumens, pushing him back against the cage. Still in the clinch, Lake scores with a nice short uppercut. Lake has Lumens pressed against the cage, preventing Lumens from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A shot in the inside from Lake. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Lake. Lake prevents the takedown attempt.
Lake jumps guard.
Lake is pulling down on Lumens's head. It's preventing any offense from Lumens, at least for the moment. Lumens knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lake on the ground.

Lake pulls Lumens in close to his closed guard and prevents Lumens from doing any damage or advancing position. Lumens has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lumens manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lumens trying to control but Lake is working from the bottom.

Lake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. This has been an exciting period of action! Lake looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Lumens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lake moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lumens's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lake. Lake is pushing down on Lumens's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lumens is fighting to maintain full guard but Lake has managed to sneak the leg through.

 Sakuragi is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Villar lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Sakuragi! Villar sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Sakuragi and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Gamburyan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Gamburyan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dios throwing shots but Gamburyan is blocking nicely. Gamburyan is controlling Dios's trapped leg to prevent Dios from advancing to side control. Dios thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Dios thows a huge punch but Gamburyan dodges it nicely.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dios is thwarting Gamburyan's attempts to control the position.
Dios is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gamburyan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dios. Gamburyan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dios is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dios is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Dios moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gamburyan has worked his arm free - good work by Gamburyan!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dios lands a nice forearm strike. Dios creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Gamburyan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Dios cracks Gamburyan with a big elbow. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gamburyan is looking to reverse the position. Gamburyan holding on. Dios looks up at the clock and then as Gamburyan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dios smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Gamburyan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown.
