The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silver feints and then cracks Bunny's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bunny down. Silver scores with a hook.
It looks like Marshmallow Bunny has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bunny shoots in for a double leg but Silver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bunny circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silver jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

A shot to the body from Drillo misses and Rico counters with a straight right hand. Drillo throws a lazy right hand but Rico sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Rico feints and as Drillo raises his hands in defense, Rico changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rico thows a big elbow that misses. Drillo wants to get back to his feet but Rico is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drillo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rico in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rico throwing strikes from guard but Drillo blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rico accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nykanen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Marcus Monstra is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gail stays in close to Monstra's body and controls the position. Monstra will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Monstra seems keen to control Gail's posture. Gail throws and elbow that misses. Monstra uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gail's guard. Nice move by Monstra! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
