The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Perry misses with an uppercut. Petrovas saw that one coming.
Petrovas scores with a takedown into Perry's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Petrovas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Goniwiecha shoots in but Niles avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Goniwiecha throws a combination that misses
and Niles counters with a nice double leg into side control. Goniwiecha won't be happy with that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Niles working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Niles has hold of Goniwiecha's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Goniwiecha tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Niles cranks the arm and Goniwiecha screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Goniwiecha, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
