The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Vera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peters tries to avoid it but Vera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peters to the ground. Peters escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A punch lands to the side of Vera 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Vera takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A slapping leg kick lands for Peters.
Mike Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vera is breathing heavily.
Vera takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Vera gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Peters gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Vera is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Akbar darts in and clinches Highwind up against the cage.
Akbar has Highwind pressed against the cage, preventing Highwind from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Akbar tries to work over Highwind's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Akbar stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Highwind looking to stall.
Akbar can't find room to land a body shot as Highwind controls the action.

Braton sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Keen's defenses. It connects perfectly with Keen's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Kerbouchard takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kerbouchard closes the distance and clinches up with Nguyen, looking for a takedown. Kerbouchard pushes Nguyen against the cage but Nguyen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kerbouchard stumbles backwards against the cage. Nguyen steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Kerbouchard's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Kerbouchard just didn't come prepared.
