The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KIng Jr takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
KIng Jr looks gassed!
KIng Jr throws a combination that misses
and Baem counters with a head kick.
James KIng Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! KIng Jr crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Baem - the referee stops the clock and KIng Jr gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Baem. KIng Jr manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Baem throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around KIng Jr's waist but KIng Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baem off to one side.
KIng Jr throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Baem counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Baem moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Baem doesn't manage to clinch there - KIng Jr circles away.
Baem throws a combination but it was largely blocked by KIng Jr.
KIng Jr swats away the attempt to clinch by Baem.

Baem looking to score a takedown here. KIng Jr is defending well but Baem drives through and ends up in KIng Jr's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rin is defended easily by Gundam.

Gundam gets caught napping as Rin dives in and scores a takedown. Gundam manages to retain guard.
Rin wants to pass the guard but Gundam is keeping the position.
Gundam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gundam is looking to stand up but Rin isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kaito Rin.

Rin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gundam sprawls well initially but Rin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rin with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Rin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Rin prevents Gundam from standing back up.
Rin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

We're going to have a standup here because Kaito Rin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Rin gets a double leg takedown into Gundam's guard.
Rin advances position into side control!
Rin slows the pace down.

Rin has an Americana. Gundam didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rin is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rin hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Jericho tries to keep at a distance but Gonzalez has taken the fight into the clinch.

Gonzalez has hold of one of Jericho's legs. Jericho is fighting the takedown attempt but Gonzalez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gonzalez advances position into side control!
Gonzalez works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Gonzalez tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
An elbow from Gonzalez crashes against the mat.
Jericho seems a little lost for a moment, as Gonzalez dominates the positioning.

Gonzalez has hold of Jericho's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jericho tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gonzalez cranks the arm and Jericho screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jericho, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Trejo wants to clinch up but Willis keeps it at a distance.

Cantrell Willis's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Trejo wants to get back to his feet but Willis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Willis postures up in Trejo's guard and throws a big left but Trejo blocks it.
Willis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nolan stuffs the takedown attempt from Maia. Maia gets slowly back to his feet.
Nolan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Maia enables Nolan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Maia manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Nolan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nolan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Nolan is looking to work some ground and pound but Maia has wrist control.
Maia utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Maia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nolan defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Maia is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nolan is aware though and is defending well.

Nolan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Maia is looking to sinch up a triangle. Nolan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Maia's body to avoid the submission. Maia has instead reached around Nolan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Maia arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Teenth is looking to slow Tupper Vi down with leg kicks.
Teenth fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Teenth dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tupper Vi. That did some damage!
Nice sprawl there from Teenth as Tupper Vi shoots in.
Tupper Vi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Teenth manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Teenth thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Tupper Vi if he has to take too many more of those.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Teenth cracks Tupper Vi with an open hand slap.

It looks like Bobby Tupper Vi has been cut.

Teenth fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tupper Vi.
