It looks like Johnny Madden has been cut. Madden has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rozalski is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jericho changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nichols looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Nichols takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Nichols is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Nichols knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jericho on the ground. Jericho works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Jericho is looking to take a break and control but Nichols is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nichols takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Hayabusa closes the distance but Gray moves to the side and Gray counters with a takedown into side control. Gray is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Hayabusa screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
