Yo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Delgado swats him away and circles back towards the center. Delgado tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Delgado gets a takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Delgado scoring with strikes to the body and head. Delgado slows the pace down in half guard. Yo looks like he's trying to stand up.

Yo drops his hands momentarily and Delgado takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Delgado scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Yo avoids the head kick by Delgado.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Delgado missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Delgado connects with a nice short shot to Yo's temple. Delgado looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Delgado lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Yo quite badly. Yo pulls Delgado in close trying to recover. Delgado postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Yo on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Yo doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deschain moves into range and clinches up with Buchanen. Deschain misses with a body punch.

Deschain is looking to improve his position but Buchanen isn't that keen on the idea. Deschain is bucking up trying to escape but Buchanen cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Deschain sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Buchanen throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Deschain to regain full guard. Deschain keeping full guard, as Buchanen tries to pass. Buchanen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Buchanen cracks Deschain with a solid left hand. Buchanen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Buchanen slips nicely into half guard.

Mousaki feints a jab promting Polk to slip. Mousaki then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Polk slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Mousaki tries to bum rush Polk with a series of wild strikes but Polk uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Polk avoids the body shot from Mousaki.

It looks like Malcolm Stumps has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Stumps takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Stumps tries to hold on but Coon pushes him away. Coon scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Jacques walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A looping hook to the body misses from Jacques. Beswicke does a little dance to reset his feet. Beswicke misses with a low kick.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jacques cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Beswicke tries to hold on but Jacques pushes him away. Beswicke defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jacques. Jacques breaks from Beswicke's wrist control and lands an elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jacques in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Poor strikes thrown by Jacques there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Braylon Beswicke. I think Beswicke has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Congo! Khan goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Congo turns into him and now he's in Khan's guard.
Congo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Khan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Congo has managed to get both his arms back between Khan's legs - danger averted. Congo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Khan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Congo wants to control from the top but Khan keeps moving. Congo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Congo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Khan throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Khan working for submissions but it's allowed Congo to get to half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLoughlin throws a lazy head kick and Escuela counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Escuela is looking for a kimura but McLoughlin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Escuela to get the leverage. Escuela is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Escuela is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McLoughlin sees it coming and defends easily. McLoughlin wants to get back to his feet. Escuela is thwarting McLoughlin's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Escuela sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McLoughlin defending well though. Escuela is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McLoughlin is just riding it out for now. Escuela eventually gives up the hold. But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Escuela, into his guard. McLoughlin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Escuela looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Escuela is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Escuela is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McLoughlin defends well. McLoughlin gets to his feet. Escuela looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! No luck with that takedown attempt from Escuela. Escuela takes a swing at McLoughlin's ribcage but misses. McLoughlin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Escuela has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

A low kick from McLoughlin is predictable there and Escuela counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McLoughlin wants to stand but Escuela is controlling the position. Escuela is looking to work some ground and pound but McLoughlin has wrist control. Escuela in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Escuela drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McLoughlin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Escuela has McLoughlin in his guard. Escuela gets slowly back to his feet. McLoughlin lands a nice leg kick that just misses Escuela's sensitive parts. Escuela misses with an uppercut

McLoughlin throws a shot from downtown. Escuela moves away and avoids it. McLoughlin throws a leg kick which misses Escuela's front leg but catches the back leg as Escuela tries to avoid it. McLoughlin is looking to clinch but Escuela is avoiding it.

Great action here. McLoughlin thows a leg kick but Escuela checks it and Escuela counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McLoughlin thinking. Escuela has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Escuela there as he acknowledges the shot. McLoughlin doesn't manage to clinch there - Escuela circles away.

McLoughlin looks to score with a jab to the body but Escuela is just out of range. Escuela scores with a three punch combo!

You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Escuela. McLoughlin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. McLoughlin throws a leg kick that is checked letting Escuela counter with a right hand. McLoughlin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Escuela's calf. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

McLoughlin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Escuela is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salita wants it to stay on the feet. Nicky Salita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
