The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nikki shoots in but Fighter avoids the takedown attempt easily. Fighter shoots in looking for a takedown but Nikki manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nikki tries to sprawl but Fighter drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nikki is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Fighter is tapping! Great win for Nikki!

Caic thows a body shot but no joy. Kobra feints a jab promting Caic to slip. Kobra then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Caic slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kobra with a body punch. A glancing blow. A jab lands there for Kobra. Kobra darts in and clinches Caic up against the ropes. Kobra lands with a light punch inside. Come on Kobra - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kifo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tokoro circles away. Tokoro has a takedown stuffed. Tokoro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Tokoro tries to control but Kifo wriggling away. Tokoro has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kifo's face.

Machida closes the distance and clinches up with Drake, looking for a takedown. Machida pushes Drake against the ropes but Drake circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Drake stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Drake wants it to stay on the feet. Andy Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Drake throws a body punch but Machida moves out of range. Drake tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Drake looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Machida rushes Drake and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Machida pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Machida will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Machida throws a shot from downtown. Drake moves away and avoids it. Machida looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Drake is fending him off so far but Machida persists. Nope, Drake circles away and we're back to standing. Andy Drake is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Saez keeps the fight on the outside. Saez sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Saez is looking to clinch but Sanchez is avoiding it.

Sanchez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Saez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Saez looks to have wriggled free... Saez tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sanchez counters with an inside leg kick. Jesus Saez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

He shot from a bit too far out. Saez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the ropes. Sanchez putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Saez in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Saez is trying to force a seperation but Sanchez has the dominant position. Saez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sanchez working hard to break the clinch. Saez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Saez tries to pull guard but Sanchez won't allow it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. KZ takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. You can see the frustration on KZ's face as Evans controls the position. Evans working the body and head with strikes. KZ is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. KZ makes his way to full guard. A much better position for KZ. Evans throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as KZ works some decent striking defense from the bottom. KZ utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Evans sitting in guard here, content to control. KZ avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. KZ tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Evans.
