The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick closes the distance but Fox moves to the side
and Fox counters with an inside leg kick.
Fox takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Dick clinches up with Fox and pushes him back against the cage.

Fox tightens his grip and picks Dick up, before dumping him to the ground. Dick manages to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Dick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fox is aware though and is defending well.

Dick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fox can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fox is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dick defends well.

Dick is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fox is just riding it out for now. Dick eventually gives up the hold.
Fox regains full guard. Nicely done.

Fox escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dick gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fox tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Fox had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dick defends it easily.

Fox looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dick has picked Fox up and slammed him! Fox can't keep hold of the triangle and Dick manages to pass to side control!
Dick is working Fox over with some ground and pound from side control.

Dick stands up and beckons Fox to his feet.
Dick throws a shot from downtown. Fox moves away and avoids it.
Dick tries to clinch but Fox moves out of range.

Fox closes the distance and clinches.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Fox.
Dick tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fox's elbow.

Fox manages to break the clinch.

Fox rushes Dick and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dick catches Fox with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Fox instigates a clinch.
Dick is trying to push Fox away but Fox has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dick tries to pull guard but Fox holds him up against the cage and eventually Dick drops back down to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Jordan Dick will probably get the nod.

Fox has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Dick tries to bum rush Fox with a series of wild strikes but Fox uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dick moves to clinch but Fox breaks away

and Fox counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Dick is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fox to keep the fight standing.
Dick prevents a takedown attempt there.

Fox gets through Dick's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Dick can't find room to land a body shot as Fox controls the action.
Fox fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Fox lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Fox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dick is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Dick has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Quim shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jackson is trying to defend but Quim finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jackson tries to roll over but Quim keeps him under control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Quim lands a nice short elbow.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ray Munch.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tarzan Taborda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Stam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taborda comes to the cage accompanied by New Noise by Refused. Stam is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tony Iommi - Grace. Leonard Stam told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Taborda flashes Stam a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Stam's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Stam crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Taborda punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
