1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Womack! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Womack fails in his attempt to clinch. Lizardo looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Womack doesn't manage to clinch there - Lizardo circles away.
Lizardo wants to clinch and Womack counters with a takedown into side control. Womack creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lizardo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Womack is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lizardo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Womack controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Womack decides to stand back up. Lizardo throws a series of punches but Womack moves out of range. Lizardo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Womack is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lizardo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lizardo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Womack to score an easy takedown into full guard. Womack lands a couple of elbows. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Womack's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Womack in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lizardo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lizardo tries to get out of the position.

Lizardo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Womack. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lizardo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Migz Lizardo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Womack. Lizardo is trying to push Womack away but Womack has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Womack wants the takedown. Lizardo is fighting it off but Womack persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lizardo's guard against the cage. Lizardo is working an open guard so Womack takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Womack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lizardo tries to avoid it but Womack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lizardo to the ground. Lizardo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Migz Lizardo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Womack tries to close the distance and clinch but Lizardo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Womack will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Womack fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lizardo avoids it really well and circles away. Lizardo lands a head kick. Womack smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Womack shoots in and drives through. Lizardo sprawls well. Womack has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lizardo, right into the meat.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Womack shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lizardo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Womack trying to control the action but Lizardo is working from the bottom. Womack moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Womack connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lizardo some visible discomfort.

Womack looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Womack slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Let's hope that Womack has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tommy Womack hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Womack clinches with his opponent.
A frustrated look appears on Lizardo's face as he tries to break the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Womack is trying to drag Lizardo to the mat but Lizardo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Womack breaks the clinch.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Womack is on top in guard.
Womack lands a couple of digs. Womack has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Womack works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Migz Lizardo is winning the standup battle so far. Womack shoots for a takedown but Lizardo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Migz Lizardo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Womack misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

He's got his arms around Lizardo's waist but Lizardo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Womack off to one side. Lizardo rushes Womack and presses him up against the cage. A close third round but Tommy Womack just about did enough to take it. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Womack is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lizardo is defending well. Womack has clasped his hands together around Lizardo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Lizardo is not content to let Womack control the position. Womack lands a nice forearm strike. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Womack has knee on belly and moves into mount. Womack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tommy Womack dominated that fourth round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Lizardo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Womack to score an easy takedown into full guard. Womack has gone for a leg lock! Lizardo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Womack's guard. Womack has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lizardo off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Womack moves into the clinch.

Nice straight punches there by Lizardo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lizardo. Lizardo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Womack shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lizardo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lizardo is not content to let Womack control the position. Womack content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Lizardo slaps away a takedown attempt from Womack, before circling back to the center of the mat. Womack has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lizardo finds it's way round the side to connect with Womack's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lizardo scores with a one two! Womack had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Lizardo stuffs the takedown. Lizardo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lizardo throws a sloppy head kick and Womack moves out of range easily. Womack has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Womack moves out of range of the body kick. Lizardo works over Womack's head and body with a nice combination. Lizardo misses with a double jab.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lizardo throws a right and a left that both miss. Tommy Womack is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Womack tries to clinch but Lizardo is having none of it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marx throws a combination but it was largely blocked by George. Marx throws a right and a left that both miss. Marx takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. A punch combination from Marx misses. George slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. George lands a jab to Marx's midsection. Marx ducks right into an uppercut from George. Marx has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from George finds it's way round the side to connect with Marx's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marx takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Good shot there by George. Marx misses with a wild combination.
George wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. George lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Marx moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Marx feints a jab promting George to slip. Marx then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. George slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Marx pushes George away with a front kick. George connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Marx takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marx is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Marx takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Marx ducks right into an uppercut from George. Marx thows a leg kick but George checks it and George counters with a nice uppercut. A combination from Marx does no damage. George fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Marx throws a body kick that misses. Marx throws a combination that misses and George counters with a nice uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marx takes a jab right on the kisser.

George throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Marx was covering up waiting for the punch and George finishes the takedown easily into guard. George stops Marx from standing up. George with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. George has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. George prevents Marx from getting back to his feet. Marx throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Marx is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but George is staying active. Marx wants to get back to his feet but George drags him back down. Marx really doesn't want to stay on the ground with George. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. George wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Marx, who protects the arm well.

He's almost out here... but no, George gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. George working the head and body with strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carter missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Carter is just content to waste time from the top position. Adams takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Adams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carter's guard. Carter throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Adams wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter has an active guard here but Adams has managed to pass into half guard.

Carter shoots in looking for a takedown but Adams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jimmy Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carter lands in his opponent's guard. Carter throwing strikes but missing. Adams kicks Carter off and gets to his feet. Carter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Adams tries to avoid it but Carter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Adams to the ground. Adams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Assange shoots in looking for a takedown. Snuka tries to sprawl out of it but Assange keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Snuka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Assange shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Assange drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Snuka manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Assange manages to get himself to full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Church doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gauge counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Gauge tries to bum rush Church with a series of wild strikes but Church uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gauge getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Church drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Church trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Church passes Gauge's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Church is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Church works his way into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Church is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gauge to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gauge shrugs it off. Gauge keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Church looking to secure an arm triangle but Gauge defends it well. Church looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Church takes Gauge's back. Gauge knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Church on the ground. Church sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Gauge taps out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pena moves in looking to clinch but Spanked pushes him off. Spanked avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pena throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pena tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Spanked manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Pena looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pena throws a half hearted mid kick. Pena doesn't manage to clinch there - Spanked circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pena throws a sloppy head kick and Spanked moves out of range easily. Pena tries to close the distance and clinch but Spanked swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Spanked throws a shot to the body.
Spanked feints and as Pena raises his hands in defense, Spanked changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Spanked not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Spanked in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Spanked throws a strike aimed at the side of Pena's head but Pena avoids it well. Spanked throwing shots but missing, from side control. The referee asks Spanked politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Spanked prefers to stall for the moment though. Spanked lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pena down.

Spanked takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Spanked throwing shots but Pena is blocking nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pena works his way to full guard. Good work. Pena might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spanked is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monteiro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Box pinned against the cage. Box gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Box cracks Monteiro with a good jab. Box misses with a double jab.
Box has his takedown stuffed and Monteiro counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Box! Monteiro tries to control but Box wriggling away. Box is trying desperately to improve position. Monteiro trying to control but he's not successful this time.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Box looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Monteiro! Submission of the night perhaps?
