You get the feeling that Cotillion really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabre throws the left hand but Ferriera avoids the punch easily.
Ferriera moves out of range as Sabre strikes.
A clash of legs there as Ferriera blocks the low kick.
Ferriera will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sabre misses with a straight right.
Sabre ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferriera moves away.
Sabre misses with an uppercut.
Ferriera missing with a left hand there. Sabre was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Ferriera avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sabre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ferriera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ferriera manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sabre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferriera defends it easily.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Sabre is controlling an arm, preventing Ferriera from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Sabre is squirming around, avoiding Ferriera's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Sabre will probably get the nod.

Ferriera shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Ferriera is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sabre to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sabre shrugs it off.
