4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derrick Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samson David! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David takes a swing at Ryan's ribcage but misses. David buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by David!
 It looks like Derrick Ryan has been cut. Ryan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ryan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ryan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
 Ryan is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. David misses with a head kick.
A momentary lapse in concentration from David enables Ryan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. David manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ryan drops back looking for a leg! David is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and David manages to kick Ryan off! Ryan jumps back into David's guard.
Ryan drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ryan seems to have locked his on tight now - David screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ryan, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Derrick Ryan! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Derrick Ryan made sure he mentioned Saving Grace Clothing, along with how happy he was to win his fight.

2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thracian Spartacus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenny Blankenship! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blankenship with a lazy takedown attempt
and Spartacus counters with a shoot takedown. Blankenship fights it but they end up in guard. Spartacus with a flurry of punches that miss. Spartacus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Spartacus scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Spartacus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Blankenship has momentary wrist control but Spartacus slips an elbow through the middle. Blankenship throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spartacus is working Blankenship over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spartacus throwing strikes from guard but Blankenship blocks nicely. Spartacus is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Blankenship has momentary wrist control but Spartacus slips an elbow through the middle. Spartacus scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Spartacus keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Blankenship's head. Spartacus is working Blankenship over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Spartacus chips away with some ground and pound.
 Blankenship is rocked! Blankenship looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Blankenship is still in real trouble! Can Spartacus finish him? Blankenship looks gassed!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Spartacus loads up on a big left hand. Blankenship felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Spartacus looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Blankenship can't hide his disappointment, as Spartacus celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thracian Spartacus! Our winner, Thracian Spartacus, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Harvey kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dangerzone. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ballard's choice of entrance music: Eye of the Tiger. On his way into the cage it seems that AJ Harvey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily AJ Harvey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ballard stuffs the takedown.
Harvey has managed to clinch.
Harvey jumps guard but Ballard stands there with Harvey around his waist. Harvey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Harvey tries to pull guard but Ballard holds him up against the cage and eventually Harvey drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for AJ Harvey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ballard has picked Harvey up - he's going for a ride! Ballard dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Harvey tries to get to full guard but Ballard has control of the leg. Still in half guard, Ballard seems content to control. Ballard tries to pass to full mount but Harvey defends it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ballard takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
 The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kasey Ballard wasn't active enough on the ground. Harvey with a poor takedown
and Ballard counters by clinching up. Harvey is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ballard is keeping busy.
Ballard ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ballard no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Harvey prevents Ballard from getting back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ballard can do anything to dispel that myth. Harvey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Harvey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ballard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Harvey is aware though and is defending well. Ballard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Harvey landing some decent shots from guard. Harvey really is a fat lump.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Harvey pushes down on Ballard's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ballard is looking to escape. Ballard trying to get back to full guard but Harvey takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Ballard is desperately trying to improve his position but Harvey has a good base and remains in mount. Ballard tries to lock up and control but Harvey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Harvey lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Ballard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harvey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ballard is looking to improve his position but Harvey isn't that keen on the idea. Ballard is squirming around, avoiding Harvey's attempts to control the action.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ballard wants to hold on but Harvey pushes him away. Harvey content just to control the position here.
Harvey is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Harvey throws a body kick that misses. Harvey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Harvey closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ballard did well to prevent Harvey getting side control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Harvey trying to control from half guard but Ballard is working away. Ballard wants to get back to his feet.
Harvey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ballard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Ballard is looking to escape. Ballard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harvey is working away from the top position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Ballard manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Ballard isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Harvey stacks Ballard on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Harvey! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that AJ Harvey will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on AJ Harvey's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ballard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Harvey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ballard. Harvey throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ballard throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Harvey shoots in and gets a takedown into Ballard's guard. Ballard looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Harvey wants to stand but Ballard is controlling his posture from full guard. Ballard working a defensive guard but Harvey passes into half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ballard is trying to control but can't.
Ballard keeps control of the position for the meantime. Harvey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ballard's head.
Harvey wants to work for an arm triangle but Ballard is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Harvey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ballard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ballard trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Harvey manages to pass to mount!
Harvey cracks Ballard with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Ballard wants to control but Harvey is having none of it. Ballard is squirming around, avoiding Harvey's attempts to control the action. Harvey avoids the attempt from Ballard to control. Ballard is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Harvey is staying active.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Harvey trying to control but Ballard is having none of it. Ballard is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Harvey controlling the pace for now. Ballard is in a horrible position here. Harvey smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Harvey dominating with strikes here. AJ Harvey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Harvey gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Harvey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ballard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harvey somewhat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Harvey shoots in for a takedown but Ballard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Harvey throws a looping overhand right but Ballard ducks down to avoid it. Harvey misses with a head kick.
Ballard rushes Harvey and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Ballard tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Harvey wants to hold on but Ballard pushes him away. Harvey throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Ballard wants to control the pace but Harvey is squirming around nicely. Harvey is wriggling around trying to escape.

Ballard scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harvey doesn't seem bothered though. Harvey looks to score with a jab to the body but Ballard is just out of range. Nice sprawl there from Harvey as Ballard shoots in. Ballard with a lazy takedown attempt
and Harvey counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ballard's guard now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harvey lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Ballard keeping moving, preventing Harvey from controlling successfully.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Ballard wants to sweep here but Harvey controlling him for the moment. Ballard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Harvey stands and throws Ballard's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ballard tries to buck Harvey off but Harvey is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ballard is trying to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Kasey Ballard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Harvey has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price drives through with a takedown into guard. Price content to stall in guard here. Prototype controls Price momentarily but Price frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Prototype looking to hit a scissor sweep but Price is one step ahead there.
Prototype has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Price can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Price is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Price gets to his feet - Prototype follows without any prompting. A punch combination from Prototype misses.
Prototype gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Price's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Price is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Prototype creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Price sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Prototype decides to stand back up. Prototype steps back and let's Price get back to his feet.
Price closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Prototype to the mat! Prototype manages to get full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Price decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Prototype, up you get! Price keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Price's corner is telling him to maintain position. Price wants to pass the guard but Prototype is keeping the position. Prototype is trying to control the position but Price postures up.

 We're going to have a standup here because Nathaniel Price wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Prototype misses with a straight right. Prototype fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Prototype showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Price.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Prototype tries to circle away but Price has him pinned against the cage.

Price pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Prototype tumbling to the mat - Price dives into Prototype's guard. Price trying to control the position from guard on top but Prototype is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Estep maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hagan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Estep has cracked it and Hagan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Estep!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gibbs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harkleroad. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. Gibbs has his foot on Harkleroad's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harkleroad works his way back into a safe position though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harkleroad is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harkleroad sitting in guard, not really doing much. Harkleroad stops Gibbs from standing up.
 Chad Harkleroad has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. A thudding body kick lands there by Gibbs!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gibbs enables Harkleroad to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gibbs manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Gibbs controls Harkleroad momentarily but Harkleroad frees himself. Harkleroad trying to control but Gibbs is working from the bottom. Harkleroad must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Harkleroad is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
 The ref stands the fighters back up. Chad Harkleroad was stalling too much, according to the referee. Harkleroad avoids the head kick by Gibbs.
Gibbs is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gibbs tries to clinch up but Harkleroad circles away and keeps his distance. Harkleroad will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chad Harkleroad will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Harkleroad drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Gibbs's face as Harkleroad controls the position. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Harkleroad avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gibbs lands a couple of digs. Harkleroad trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Gibbs stands up over Harkleroad, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Harkleroad looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Harkleroad preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Harkleroad seems keen to control Gibbs's posture.
Harkleroad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gibbs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Harkleroad is breathing heavily. Harkleroad keeping moving, preventing Gibbs from controlling successfully.

Gibbs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Harkleroad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gibbs has managed to get both his arms back between Harkleroad's legs - danger averted. Gibbs distracts Harkleroad with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Gibbs connects with a couple of short punches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harkleroad is pulling down on Gibbs's head. It's preventing any offense from Gibbs, at least for the moment. Gibbs trying to stand up but can't free himself from Harkleroad's guard.
Harkleroad is working an open guard so Gibbs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibbs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Harkleroad closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Harkleroad lands in his opponent's guard.

Harkleroad is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Harkleroad wants to stand and escape but instead Gibbs has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Harkleroad wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Gibbs drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Gibbs as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Harkleroad screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Gibbs! Nice submission victory there!
