Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ain't No Sunshine - (DMX). Yakisoba has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Sabre has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Duck Dong is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sabre yanks on the arm and Duck Dong is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sabre.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Can fails with the takedown and Nayoui counters with a crisp right that sends Can to the canvas! Nayoui follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Lister moves into the clinch. Lister looks gassed!
Lister escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Can Vii closes the distance and clinches up with Lister, looking for a takedown. Can Vii pushes Lister against the cage but Lister circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Can Vii is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lister sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Can Vii misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomato Can Vii. That's going to take a lot out of him. Can Vii shoots for a takedown but Lister saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lister feints and as Can Vii raises his hands in defense, Lister changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lister is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Can Vii throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Can Vii is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lister is aware though and is defending well.

Lister has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Can Vii defend it? Lister steps over the head and cranks it - Can Vii is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lister!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lime Lister! A determined Lime Lister didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Takanori lands an uppercut. Nishiura will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Takanori up against the cage. Takanori misses with a shot to the kidneys.
