The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morris connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Dikiy to the floor! Morris dives in looking for the finish! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Morris seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dikiy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Morris could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dikiy wants to get back to his feet.
Morris is trying to control. Dikiy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Dikiy wants to get back to his feet. Morris trying to control the action but Dikiy is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dikiy can do anything to dispel that myth.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Set Morris wasn't doing enough on the ground. Morris lands a leg kick that knocks Dikiy off balance momentarily. Dikiy swats away the attempt to clinch by Morris. Morris wants to clinch. Morris throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Dikiy throws a head kick but Morris moves out of range.
Morris tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dikiy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dikiy dodges the punch combination from Morris.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morris tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dikiy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dikiy misses with a two punch combination.
Dikiy looks gassed! Dikiy misses with a wild body shot. Dikiy looks to land a right hand but Morris moved out of range. Morris showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dikiy.
Dikiy has closed the distance and engaged Morris in a clinch.
Dikiy is trying to break the clinch but Morris is controlling him. Dikiy tries to break the clinch but Morris is controlling the position. Morris pulls guard effortlessly. Dikiy trying to control the position from guard on top but Morris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dikiy wanted to stand there but Morris had control of the position. Dikiy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dikiy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Morris is tightening it up a little... Dikiy has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dikiy reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dikiy taps out! Nice BJJ there by Morris!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blub lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Basaev backs up against the cage.
Basaev closes the distance and clinches up with Blub, looking for a takedown. Basaev pushes Blub against the cage but Blub circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Blub throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Basaev. Basaev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Basaev takes one on the button. Nice body kick from Blub. Basaev slips a jab and a cross from Blub.
Blub throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Basaev fails with a takedown attempt. Bla Blub seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A bone on bone clash there as Basaev blocks the leg kick.
Basaev looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Basaev passes easily into side control. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Basaev working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Basaev advances to full mount. Basaev takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Graungaard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Takoy. A slow jab from Graungaard misses its intended target. Graungaard swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Takoy darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Graungaard throws a right hand that Takoy ducks under and follows up with a left that Takoy also avoids with ease. Graungaard throws a right and a left that Takoy avoids nicely. Graungaard misses with a few strikes there.
Graungaard throws a series of punches but Takoy avoids them all with ease. Graungaard is breathing heavily. A combination from Graungaard does no damage. Takoy clinches up against the cage. Takoy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Takoy lands with an uppercut that bounces Graungaard off the cage and back into range. Takoy with a jab. Takoy gets in close and tags Graungaard with a short punch that almost sends Graungaard to the mat! Oh Graungaard is in big trouble! He turns his back on Takoy, trying to create some distance but Takoy rushes him, striking wildly and Graungaard goes down! The referee tackles Takoy into the cage to end the fight! Takoy is one violent man!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Apae on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A cross from Apae lands. Apae is on the wrong end of a nice combination from li. li thows a body shot but no joy. Apae cracks li with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. li checks the leg kick nicely there.
Apae throws a body punch but li moves out of range. li misses with a hook. Apae lands a lovely overhand right. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. li jabbing away but nothing is landing. li takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Apae lands a jab to li's midsection. Apae uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by li.
Apae looks to score with a jab to the body but li is just out of range. Nice cross by Apae. li needs to keep his hands up - Apae had a free shot at his head there.

This has been an exciting period of action! li rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Apae to counter with a crisp jab. li missing with a left hand there. Apae was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Apae scores with a jab to the body. Wilbur Apae seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Apae fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. li is breathing heavily. Apae scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. li doesn't seem bothered though. Apae bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps li's head backwards. Good exchange - Apae coming out on top.

Apae dropped down on all fours and is barking in li's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

It looks like Brian McGordon has been cut. Lom gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McGordon.
McGordon lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Lom is pressed up against the cage. McGordon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lom down to the mat. Lom avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lom pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McGordon feints and then cracks Lom's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lom down. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lom doesn't manage to clinch there - McGordon circles away.
Lom tries to grapple but his opponent circles and McGordon counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGordon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lom but Lom pushes him off and we're back to square one. McGordon shoots in looking for a takedown. Lom tries to sprawl out of it but McGordon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McGordon gets tackled into the cage by Lom. Lom maintains the clinch. Lom misses with an elbow strike.
