 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! bain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
bain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abker. bain keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Abker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but bain avoids it really well and circles away. bain thows a body shot but no joy. bain scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Abker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Abker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abker is trying hard to land a takedown here. bain sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. bain tries to bum rush Abker with a series of wild strikes but Abker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Abker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Abker is trying to control the position but bain postures up. bain tries to stand but Abker is controlling from the bottom. Abker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Abker has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from bain finds it's way round the side to connect with Abker's head. bain connects with a jab. Abker shoots in for a takedown but bain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice jab there from bain. bain tries a head kick but it misses.
bain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Abker manages to avoid it. bain shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Andersson! Kobra is trying to improve his position. Andersson tries to advance to mount but Kobra denies him.

Kobra has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Andersson escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Andersson! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kobra is looking to regain half guard here but Andersson keeps moving and retains side control. Andersson wants to control but Kobra is keeping him busy. Kobra gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to King Kobra. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kobra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! bain misses with a two punch combination.
Duxx just misses with a punch to the body.
A head kick misses from bain. Duxx bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
 It looks like mirko bain has been cut. Duxx lands the left hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! bain fails to land with a series of punches.
Duxx feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends bain sprawling to the canvas! bain rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Duxx finish him?!
 bain is rocked! bain looks gassed! Duxx moves out of range of the body kick from bain.
Duxx rushes bain and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. bain wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

 That has opened up mirko bain's cut even more. Duxx jerks bain's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! bain drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Duxx goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Duxx because bain was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

That was a close round but I would say that Adamh Pearse will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Adamh Pearse's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

King looks to clinch and Pearse counters with a good, hard body kick but King shrugs it off. A combination from King does no damage. King tries to clinch up but Pearse circles away and keeps his distance. The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pearse avoids the head kick by King.

Pearse lands a hook to the side of the head. Frankie King seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Pearse is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. A shot in the inside from Pearse. Pearse unloads a knee to the mid-section. King keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pearse's efforts to push away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pearse tries to land knees in the clinch but King avoids the damage to the body. King lands a body punch. Pearse blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Pearse is trying to maintain a safe position but King gets an underhook and turns Pearse into the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Frankie King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well King has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
