0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Gustafvon! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gustafvon tries a head kick but it misses.
Potter looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Potter gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gustafvon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Gustafvon gets underhooks to prevent Potter's takedown attempt.
Gustafvon presses Potter against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Gustafvon wants to take the fight to the mat but Potter manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Potter trying to control the position but instead, Gustafvon has worked for underhooks and has pushed Potter into the cage. Gustafvon tries to work over Potter's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Potter fails to pull guard.

Gustafvon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Gustafvon slowing the pace effectively. Gustafvon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gustafvon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Potter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gustafvon somewhat.

Gustafvon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Potter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gustafvon trying to control the action but Potter is working from the bottom. Gustafvon tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Nice sprawl there from Potter as Gustafvon shoots in. Gustafvon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Potter but Potter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gustafvon leaves Potter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gustafvon throws a nice inside leg kick. Potter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gustafvon shoots in but Potter avoids the takedown attempt easily.

And that's the end of the fight! James Gustafvon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gustafvon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Oh Riker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Shonuck lands a knee to the body.
Shonuck lands a nice elbow. Shonuck jerks Riker's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Riker drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Shonuck goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Shonuck because Riker was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lange takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Paterno shoots in for a double leg but Lange sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lange shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Paterno swats away the attempt to clinch by Lange. Lange changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Paterno tries to avoid it but Lange manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Paterno to the ground. Paterno escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Paterno throws a sloppy head kick and Lange moves out of range easily. Lange looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Lange decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Lange closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Paterno's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lange is pushing down on Paterno's leg trying to pass to half guard. Paterno is fighting to maintain full guard but Lange has managed to sneak the leg through. Paterno is looking to improve his position.
Paterno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lange. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paterno wants to control but Lange is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lange in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Paterno tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Lange!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sierra misses with a takedown attempt and Zhen counters with a three punch combo that has Sierra backing up. Sierra nods at Zhen to acknowledge the strikes. Zhen scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Zhen drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Zhen throwing strikes but missing. Zhen looking to sit in guard and control but Sierra gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sierra slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sierra drops back looking for a leg! Zhen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zhen manages to kick Sierra off! Sierra jumps back into Zhen's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sierra decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zhen to his feet.

Sierra gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zhen. Sierra misses with a takedown attempt and Zhen counters with a straight that turns Sierra's legs to rubber! Zhen pushes forward with more strikes and Sierra goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

Jacques Grande showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Grande closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Grande looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lake with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Grande not landing any meaningful shots this time. Grande is thwarting Lake's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grande is nestled in close to Lake, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Grande seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lake does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lake wants to get back to his feet. Grande trying to control the action but Lake is working from the bottom. Grande might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lake kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Grande controlling the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jacques Grande wasn't active enough on the ground. Grande has taken the fight to the clinch.

Grande's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Grande using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lake has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Grande stalks Lake and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lake's face. Lake staggers backwards, shaken. Lake comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Grande scores with a leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lake. Grande does a little dance to reset his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Grande looks for a takedown but Lake sprawls well. This has been an exciting period of action! No joy there for Lake, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Jacques Grande comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Grande has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Areeno swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A telegraphed right hand from Areeno misses the target. Areeno lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dama circles away quickly and effectively. A solid body kick from Dama. Dama misses with a takedown attempt - Areeno sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Areeno tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dama was well out of range. Poor timing from Areeno. Dama does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Areeno will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dama tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A decent looking body kick lands there for Areeno. Areeno getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Dama throws a body kick, spinning off balance and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Areeno throws a hook but Dama blocks it. Areeno clinches up against the cage. Dama tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Areeno throws a knee to the head but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dama pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Dama pulls guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dama trying to keep a closed guard but Areeno is proving a slippery customer.
