0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, AJ Brown! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown with a poor takedown
so Keats counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Keats passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Keats wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brown, who protects the arm well. Brown being controlled for a moment. Sloppy strikes there by Keats.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Brown dodges the ground and pound from Keats. Keats controls the position.
Keats thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brown is letting Keats control him for a moment. Brown wants to get back to his feet but Keats is dominant here and he's now got Brown's back! Keats slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Keats's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Brown can't escape the position.

Keats is looking for the choke from the back position but Brown is controlling his hands well. Brown covering up well under a series of strikes from Keats.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Keats controlling from the back. Even with his hooks in, Keats manages to miss with strikes from the back. Keats is riding his opponent, not letting Brown buck him off. Keats not allowing Brown to control his hands.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Keats has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Brown has freed his hand and lives to survive another� well, another couple of seconds at least!
Keats slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Keats throwing sloppy strikes. Brown trying to control but not successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brown might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Keats kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Keats dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Keats has closed the distance and engaged Brown in a clinch.
Keats pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Keats throws a half hearted mid kick. Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Keats but Keats pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jim Keats seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown dives in and grabs Keats's left leg, looking for a takedown. Keats pushes down on Brown's head and hops out. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brown is defended easily by Keats. Jim Keats has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of AJ Brown. The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Keats throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Keats throws a leg kick but Brown moved away.
Keats shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard. Keats pushes down on Brown's leg and manages to get into half guard. Brown wants to control but Keats is keeping busy and won't allow it. Keats missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Keats missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Keats sitting and controlling from the half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
 Jim Keats has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Keats fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brown keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Keats. A slapping leg kick lands for Keats.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Keats throws a right and a left that Brown avoids nicely.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oooooh!!! Keats has knocked Brown down with a huge combo! Keats steps away and waves a wobbly Brown back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
 It looks like AJ Brown has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Keats misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brown.
Keats fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brown manages to avoid it. A nice combination there by Keats.
 Brown is rocked! Keats throws an overhand right that drops Brown like a sack of potatoes! Keats dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Keats! A very excited looking Jim Keats made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cheesara lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Cheesara throws a head kick that misses.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Scott has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cheesara avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Cheesara throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Scott can't get the takedown.
With the fighters up against the cage, Cheesara throws an elbow but misses.
Scott works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Scott is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scott is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cheesara is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Scott trying to control but Cheesara is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cheesara can do anything to dispel that myth. Cheesara trying to strike off his back.
Cheesara should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Scott's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Scott slips nicely into half guard. Scott is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Cheesara on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Scott trying to control the pace. Scott seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cheesara for as long as he can get away with. Scott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cheesara wants to get back to full guard. Cheesara is trying to stand up here but Scott is controlling him well. Scott drops an elbow to the side of Cheesara's head. Scott controlling the action here. Scott uses his free foot to push down on Cheesara's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cheesara.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Scott lands a big elbow. Cheesara tries to buck Scott off but he can't manage it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Scott tries to control but Cheesara wriggling away. Scott lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cheesara hang on? Scott looking to control but Cheesara is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Scott is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cheesara is surviving well by controlling Scott's body position as best he can.
Scott has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Cheesara is forced to tap!

13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hempii Sapponen! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vayrynen throws a hook to the side of Sapponen's head but Sapponen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sapponen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vayrynen. A looping hook to the body misses from Vayrynen. Sapponen does a little dance to reset his feet. Sapponen fails with the takedown and Vayrynen counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Sapponen falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Paavo Vayrynen! Paavo Vayrynen gave a mention to Fight Day Nutrition (Authentic 160Q/159Q supps!) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).

and Shields counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tyler is lucky that one didn't land flush. Shields blocks a head kick by Tyler.

Tyler looking for a takedown here - he's got it. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tyler sitting in guard, not really doing much. Tyler won't allow Shields to sweep him here. Tyler throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shields wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tyler is now in half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Shields trying to hold on to Tyler's head to control him but Tyler postures up.
Tyler tries to pass to full mount but Shields defends it. Tyler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Tyler perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Tyler is thwarting Shields's attempts to control the position. Shields tries to roll over but Tyler keeps him under control. Shields is trying to stand back up but Tyler is controlling him
Shields makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shields. Shields is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyler tries to stand but Shields is controlling from the bottom.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Shields tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tyler forces Shields back against the cage and clinches. Shields fails to pull guard.
Shields blocks an elbow strike. Tyler tries to land knees in the clinch but Shields avoids the damage to the body. Shields wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Tyler throws a knee to the head but misses.
Tyler throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Shields blocks it with crossed arms. Tyler pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Tyler keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shields's efforts to push away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tyler trying to land knees to the body.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tyler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tyler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tyler's corner is telling him to maintain position. Shields keeping full guard, as Tyler tries to pass.
Tyler stands and steps away. Shields gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tyler misses with a leg kick and Shields counters with a series of strikes. Tyler will be more careful next time no doubt. Shields lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Tyler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shields has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tyler has managed to get both his arms back between Shields's legs - danger averted. Tyler would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Shields tries to land a sweep but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shields trying to keep a closed guard but Tyler is proving a slippery customer.

Tyler pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shields is out of range and Tyler settles back down. Tyler is looking to clinch but Shields is avoiding it.
Tyler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shields paws at him with a jab and circles away. Shields keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Tyler wants to slow Shields down by chopping away at his legs. Tyler misses with a few strikes there.
Tyler attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Shields steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tyler.
Shields gets caught flat footed, as Tyler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Tyler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Shields wants to sweep but no luck. Tyler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shields keeping moving, preventing Tyler from controlling successfully. Tyler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
 The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jake Tyler. Shields throws a body kick the misses
and Tyler counters by clinching up. Tyler tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Tyler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A head kick misses from Tyler. Shields throws a lazy head kick and Tyler counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shields's knee momentarily. Shields scores with a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shields misses with a head kick.
Shields looks to land a body kick but Tyler moved away.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyler takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Shields tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tyler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shields circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shields keeps the fight on the outside. Tyler takes a swing at Shields's ribcage but misses. Tyler swats away the attempt to clinch by Shields. Tyler lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyler steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Shields. That one must have hurt. Shields throws a sloppy head kick and Tyler moves out of range easily. Nick Shields is winning the standup battle so far. Tyler throws a leg kick but Shields checks it. Tyler throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Tyler has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Shields. Shields checks the leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shields tries a head kick but it misses.
A low kick from Tyler is predictable there and Shields finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Tyler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Tyler throws a head kick that misses. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tyler. Tyler misses the shot to the body. Tyler swats away the attempt to clinch by Shields. A clash of legs there as Shields blocks the low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyler is looking to clinch. Shields avoids the head kick by Tyler.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Shields blocks a head kick by Tyler.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler tries to work over Shields's front leg with a kick but Shields checks it.
Tyler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Shields's half guard. Shields trying to hold on to Tyler's head to control him but Tyler postures up.
Shields is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tyler with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Shields has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tyler is working away from the top position though. Shields manages to get to full guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shields is looking for a triangle but Tyler pushes his legs off easily.
Tyler is stalling in the full guard. Tyler wants to pass the guard but Shields is keeping the position. Tyler trying to control the position from guard on top but Shields is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jake Tyler wasn't active enough on the ground. Tyler gets off balance looking for a body kick enabling Shields to counter with a crisp jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shields fails to land with a series of punches.

Shields shoots for a takedown but Tyler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nick Shields has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nick Shields is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tyler throws a head kick that misses. Tyler takes a kick to the side of the head. Tyler tries a head kick but it misses.

Shields misses with an uppercut.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyler misses with a wild body shot. Tyler lands a nice looking body shot.
Tyler tries to clinch up but Shields circles away and keeps his distance. Tyler throws a series of punches but Shields avoids them all with ease. Tyler connects with a right hand. Shields shakes it off. Shields misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tyler tries to bum rush Shields with a series of wild strikes but Shields uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Tyler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tyler winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Ugly Kid Joe! Ugly Kid Joe retains his light heavyweight title! Ugly Kid Joe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
