The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens tries to clinch up but Pettis circles away and keeps his distance.
Pettis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stevens is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pettis lands with an uppercut that bounces Stevens off the cage and back into range.

Stevens drives through and clinches with Pettis against the cage.
Stevens slows down the pace here.
Pettis blocks an elbow strike.
Pettis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stevens is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Stevens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stevens uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pettis.
Pettis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Stevens moves into range and clinches up with Pettis.

Pettis is working to tighten is grip on Stevens's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Stevens has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pettis is really squeezing tight and eventually Stevens passes out! Pettis breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Belfort is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Long can't fight it off and eventually Belfort manages to take the fight to the floor. Long looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Belfort drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Belfort jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Belfort working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Long's head.
Long avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Belfort postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Belfort stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Long swivels though and keeps the full guard.
