Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Redshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bu Laia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redshaw's entrance music is ACDC - Skies on Fire. A fine choice. Laia is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hawaii '78 by Brudda Iz. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Dove scores with a nice head shot.
Turner finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Turner throws a hook to the side of Dove's head but Dove sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
An inside leg kick from Turner misses.
Gary Dove seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dove closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Turner's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dove works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Dove landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dove tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turner was well out of range. Poor timing from Dove.

Turner throws an overhand right that lands on Dove's shoulder, as Dove tries to avoid the shot.
Dove feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Turners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dove fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Turner.
Dove ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turner moves away.
Turner throws a leg kick but Dove sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Turner will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Dove fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it.

Dove paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Turner counters with a body kick that stops Dove in his tracks momentarily.

Nice defenses there by Turner.
Dove throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dove works Turner's body with a nice hook.
Dove ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turner moves away.
Dove looks to score with a jab to the body but Turner is just out of range.
Dove swings widly with a right hand
and Turner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dove feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Turners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Turner looks to land a combination. Dove sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Dove is looking to wear down Turner with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Dove ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Turner moves away.
Dove scores with a hook to the body. Turner takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dove bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gary Dove will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dove is defended easily by Turner.
Dove takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nice uppercut lands for Turner. That snapped Dove's head back.

Dove is rocked!

It looks like Gary Dove has been cut.
Turner misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oh Dove is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Turner closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Dove! Turner dives in looking to finish! Dove is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ike Turner!
Our winner, Ike Turner, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!ZyD XyD I told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

and Benoit counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks XyD X out cold! What a finish! Benoit is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
