The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Komarov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Komarov is looking to take a break and control but Pirozhkov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pirozhkov keeping control of the position. Pirozhkov is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Komarov is tapping! Great win for Pirozhkov!

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Milo Stukov! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnsov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stukov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Stukov. No joy for Johnsov on that attempt. Stukov stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnsov. Johnsov gets slowly back to his feet. Stukov lands a left and a right that send Johnsov crashing to the mat, dazed. Stukov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Johnsov is rocked!
It looks like Yevgeniy Johnsov has been cut. Johnsov is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnsov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Oh Johnsov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yevgeniy Johnsov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnsov shoots in for a takedown but Stukov shows good takedown defense. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Johnsov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Stukov feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Johnsov crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Samack checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Falacata has closed the distance and engaged Samack in a clinch.
Falacata tries to land knees in the clinch but Samack avoids the damage to the body. A quick uppercut on the inside from Samack.
It looks like Vic Falacata has been cut. Falacata swings wildly with an uppercut but Samack uses good head movement to avoid it. Falacata lands a body shot. Falacata using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Samack has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Samack tries to work over Falacata's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Samack wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Falacata has him pressed against the cage. Samack drops Falacata onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Falacata is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Falacata is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Samack creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Falacata with a big uppercut! Falacata tries to clinch up but Samack pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Falacata to the mat! Falacata covers up and Samack unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Fernell Samack! Fernell Samack decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sonnen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sonnen lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sonnen sitting in guard, not really doing much. Sonnen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Senichev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sonnen is aware though and is defending well. Sonnen is stalling in the full guard. Sonnen throwing strikes from guard but Senichev blocks nicely. Sonnen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chael Sonnen. Sonnen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Senichev to the ground. Sonnen is now in Senichev's guard. Sonnen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sonnen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Senichev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Senichev keeping full guard, as Sonnen tries to pass.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chael Sonnen. Sonnen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Senichev can't keep his opponent in guard - Sonnen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Sonnen slips a nice elbow through Senichev's hands, connecting with Senichev's forehead. Senichev is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Sonnen working the head and body with strikes. Sonnen lands with a punch from half guard. Sonnen winds up and cracks Senichev with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sonnen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sonnen wants to pass to mount but Senichev is defending the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chael Sonnen wasn't active enough on the ground. Senichev tries to clinch up and Sonnen counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sonnen controlling the action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sonnen stands up from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chael Sonnen dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sonnen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Senichev to the ground. Sonnen is now in Senichev's guard. Senichev has a closed guard, preventing Sonnen from standing up. Sonnen's corner is telling him to maintain position. Senichev has momentary wrist control but Sonnen slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sonnen controlling from the top position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chael Sonnen. Sonnen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sonnen tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Sonnen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Senichev's shoulder. That is not cool. Sonnen scoring with punches from side control. Sonnen taking a breather here. Sonnen lands a decent elbow from side control. Sonnen advances to full mount.

Senichev is rocked!
It looks like Aleksandr Senichev has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sonnen controlling the pace for now. Oh Senichev is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sonnen softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Senichev is out cold! Sonnen jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chael Sonnen! Chael Sonnen tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Boru shoots in for a takedown but Taktarov shows good takedown defense. Boru rushes Taktarov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Boru lands with a left to the head. Boru has clasped his hands together around Taktarov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Boru should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Taktarov is looking to regain half guard here but Boru keeps moving and retains side control. Taktarov is trying to control Boru's posture but Boru avoids it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boru in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Taktarov is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Taktarov gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taktarov gets full guard. Boru stopping the sweep attempt from Taktarov. Taktarov scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Boru shoots in for a takedown but Taktarov shows good takedown defense. Boru fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Taktarov sprawls well initially but Boru persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Boru looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Taktarov is pressing down on Boru's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Head trying to hold on to Lolkowski's head to control him but Lolkowski postures up.
Lolkowski drops an elbow to the side of Head's head. Head is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lolkowski not landing any meaningful shots this time. A momentary lapse in concentration from Head enables Lolkowski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Head manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lolkowski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Head is trying to keep Lolkowski in close.

Head is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lolkowski is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Head to the mat. Head regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Lolkowski won't allow Head to sweep him here. Lolkowski trying to control but Head is working from the bottom. Head is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Head is trying to control the action in half guard but Lolkowski is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lolkowski won't allow Head to pass to mount. Head is trying to control. Lolkowski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Head thows a huge punch but Lolkowski dodges it nicely.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Jab by Head. Lolkowski shoots in and drives through. Head sprawls well. Lolkowski closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Head sizes up Lolkowski with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Head throws a looping overhand right but Lolkowski ducks down to avoid it. Lolkowski lets loose with a powerful body kick. Head will feel that in the morning. Head throws a big shot that misses. Head avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Exhaustion jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shukla walks away with a smile on his face. Exhaustion gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Shukla blocks a head kick by Exhaustion.

And that's the end of the fight! Abheek Shukla comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shukla has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Palhares tries to avoid it but Fuentes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palhares to the ground. Palhares escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Palhares shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fuentes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Palhares postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Palhares manages to get his head free but now Fuentes has transitioned to an armbar! Palhares grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Fuentes! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Mathews dives in and grabs Jim's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jim pushes down on Mathews's head and hops out. Slim Jim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wesley Mathews. Mathews has his takedown stuffed and Jim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mathews with a poor takedown and Jim counters with a stiff right hand. Jim jabs at Mathews's body. Jim fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mathews, pushing him back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mathews shoots in for a takedown but Jim shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jim tries a head kick but it misses.

He's got his arms around Jim's waist but Jim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mathews off to one side. Jim's corner calls for a 1-2. Jim obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jim drops Mathews with a naaaaasty hook - Mathews is in real trouble here! Jim dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Poddubny is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Puukko scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Oh Poddubny is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Puukko throws a nice inside leg kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Puukko. Poddubny doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Poddubny seems to have got his legs back now. Puukko thumps Poddubny with a low kick. Poddubny is breathing heavily. Puukko cracks Poddubny with an open hand slap. Puukko Rushes Poddubny and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Poddubny is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Puukko Piles on the pressure and Poddubny crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
