The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Smith there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bitaskis throws a lazy uppercut
and Smith counters with a good, hard body kick but Bitaskis shrugs it off.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bitaskis tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smith keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Smith misses the jab.
Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Smith takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Smith throws a push kick but Bitaskis slaps the foot to one side.
Smith looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Bitaskis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Smith to the mat! Smith manages to get full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bitaskis drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smith dives on top into guard.
Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bitaskis has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Smith should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bitaskis has tightened it up now! Smith should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
