Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander The Great One!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The Great One misses with a takedown attempt - Lovell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lovell feints and as The Great One raises his hands in defense, Lovell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lovell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Great One swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The Great One seems keen to control Lovell's posture.
Lovell could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lovell wants to control from the top but The Great One keeps moving.
The Great One really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lovell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Steve Lovell.
The Great One keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The Great One gets a clinch.
The Great One unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lovell lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

The Great One tightens his grip and picks Lovell up, before dumping him to the ground. Lovell manages to land in guard.
The Great One cracks Lovell with a solid left hand.
Lovell avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lovell wants to get back to his feet but The Great One is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The Great One content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Lovell has locked up a guillotine! Lovell's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? The Great One is holding on here and Lovell must be using up a lot of energy. The Great One has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Lovell gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Tebow throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Franks.
Franks shoots in looking for a takedown but Tebow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Franks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Franks tries to clinch there but Tebow circles away.
Tebow scores with a head kick.
Tebow throws a head kick that misses.
Franks misses with a kick to the body.
Franks takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Franks feints and as Tebow raises his hands in defense, Franks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tebow wants to control the position but Franks says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Tebow is trying to maintain the position but Franks is very close to passing his half guard.
Tebow is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Franks moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Tebow.

Franks has an Americana. Tebow didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Franks is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Franks hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
