Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Estep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erek Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Estep kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Courageous. Horton has chosen Sandman as his entrance music. Erek Horton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Estep stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Estep wants it to stay on the feet.
Estep fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Horton avoids it really well and circles away.

Estep shoots in and gets a takedown into Horton's guard.
Estep is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Horton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Estep. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Estep wants to control from the top but Horton keeps moving.

We're going to have a standup here because Brian Estep wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Estep will probably get the nod.

Brian Estep overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Earp drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hunter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hunter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hunter!
Earp is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hunter has just dragged him back down to the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Earp shoots in looking for a takedown but Hunter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Earp's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hunter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Earp's waist but Earp gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hunter off to one side.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wyatt Earp.
