0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Olli Pommi! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pommi is fending him off so far but Fighter persists. Nope, Pommi circles away and we're back to standing. Fighter fails with a takedown attempt. Fighter could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Pommi has taken the fight to the clinch.

He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Fighter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pommi tumbling to the mat - Fighter dives into Pommi's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Fighter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fighter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Fighter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fighter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pommi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fighter is controlling him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pommi feints and then cracks Fighter's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fighter down. Pommi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fighter, pushing him back against the cage. Pommi jumps guard.
Fighter stops Pommi from standing up. Fighter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pommi manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Crunch! Pommi slams his shin into Fighter's torso. Pommi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fighter, pushing him back against the cage. Fighter is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pommi pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pommi is struggling to control the position. Pommi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fighter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pommi was well out of range. Poor timing from Fighter. Pommi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fighter paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fighter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pommi sprawls well. Pommi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fighter gets slowly back to his feet. Pommi thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Fighter if he has to take too many more of those.
Olli Pommi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fighter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pommi defends it nicely. Pommi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fighter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pommi gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pommi successfully pulls guard.
Pommi wants to stand and escape but Fighter is having none of it. Fighter stands and throws Pommi's legs to the side, diving into side control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fighter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fighter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Fighter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pommi, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Olli Pommi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pommi tries to close the distance and clinch but Fighter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pommi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pommi wants it to stay on the feet. and Aalto decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Phillips's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Aalto tries to free his leg and advance position but Phillips is retaining full guard. Aalto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Phillips's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aalto takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Phillips looks gassed! Aalto is working for a submission of some sort.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santana comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Santana dodges the punch combination from Kuivahko.
Kuivahko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Santana counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kuivahko blocking the ground and pound attempt from Santana. Santana darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Santana connects with a right hand. Kuivahko shakes it off. Kuivahko takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kuivahko throws a leg kick but Santana sees it coming and moves out of range. Santana throws a front kick aimed at Kuivahko's knee but Kuivahko avoids it well. Santana scores with a one two! Kuivahko had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Santana lands with a shot to the body. Kuivahko misses with a jab, cross combination.

Santana feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kuivahkos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Santana goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kuivahko. A left and a right from Santana both land. Nice combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuivahko has his takedown stuffed and Santana counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Santana is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Oh Kuivahko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Antto Kuivahko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kuivahko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

And that's the end of the fight! Thiago Santana comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Santana has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That's going to take a lot out of Heimo Vesa. Statement throws a lazy right hand but Vesa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Statement stuns Vesa with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Statement sends Vesa crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Statement is motioning to the referee to let Vesa up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Vesa looks gassed! Statement feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Vesa crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ola lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hammer will feel that in the morning. And that's the end of the fight! Nic Ola comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ola has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
