The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakkinen has managed to clinch.
Watson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sakkinen walks away with a smile on his face. Watson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sakkinen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Watson. Sakkinen throws a head kick that misses. Sakkinen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Sakkinen instigates a clinch. Sakkinen breaks from the clinch.
Watson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sakkinen is able to avoid easily. Sakkinen clinches. Sakkinen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sakkinen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Sakkinen is trying to maintain a safe position but Watson gets an underhook and turns Sakkinen into the ropes.

Sakkinen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Watson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Sakkinen is looking to stand up but Watson isn't so interested in that idea. Watson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sakkinen keeping moving, preventing Watson from controlling successfully.

Mitchell is doing well to control the position and prevent Hanma from advancing to side control. Hanma wants to pass to mount but Mitchell is defending the position. Hanma is keen to just control but Mitchell is a slippery customer. Hanma trying to control from Mitchell's half guard. Mitchell has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Hanma wants to control from the top but Mitchell keeps moving. Hanma cracks Mitchell with a solid left hand. Hanma lands a couple of elbows. Mitchell avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mitchell is not content to let Hanma control the position. Hanma has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hanma works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gump sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Gump closes the distance but Avitan moves to the side and Avitan counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Avitan clinches with his opponent.

Gump is working for takedown but Avitan is calmly controlling the position for now. Avitan wants to stall.

It looks like Fowwest Gump has been cut. The referee calls for Avitan to work.

Avitan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Avitan catches Gump with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The cut above Fowwest Gump's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Avitan - that will leave a mark!
Avitan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Yossi Avitan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Avitan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Avitan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gump's sensitive parts.

Fowwest Gump's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Avitan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Gump walks into a stiff left hand from Avitan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uusisto scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Velmu drops his hands momentarily and Uusisto takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Velmu. Uusisto throws a front kick aimed at Velmu's knee but Velmu avoids it well. Velmu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Uusisto looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Velmu missing with a left hand there. Uusisto was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Velmu misses the shot to the body. Uusisto moves away from the strike by Velmu. A shot to the body from Velmu misses and Uusisto counters with a nice uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Velmu takes a swing at Uusisto's ribcage but misses. Velmu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Velmu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Velmu is rocked! Velmu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Uusisto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Oh Velmu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! No luck with that takedown attempt from Velmu. Velmu seems to have got his legs back now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jyrska Velmu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Velmu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Uusisto as he avoids it easily. Uusisto circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Velmu to the canvas! Velmu doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Uusisto keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
