Turrett comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Criticize kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dexter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dexter slaps away a takedown attempt from Turrett, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dexter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dexter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dexter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Turrett is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Turrett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dexter throws out the jab.
Billy Dexter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dexter wants to sweep here but Turrett controlling him for the moment.

Turrett working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dexter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dexter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dexter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turrett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dexter has managed to get both his arms back between Turrett's legs - danger averted.
Dexter wants to pass the guard but Turrett is keeping the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
