Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luc Deveraux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Luc Deveraux has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Luc Deveraux seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierre shoots in but Deveraux avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pierre looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Deveraux! Deveraux wants to get back to his feet.
Pierre has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Deveraux's face.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pierre cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Deveraux is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Pierre unloads with some shots from mount but Deveraux bucks and avoids them well.
Pierre misses with some ground and pound and Deveraux recovers position to half guard. Pierre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Deveraux pushes Pierre off looking to stand but Pierre dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pierre fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Deveraux misses with a jab, cross combination.

Luc Deveraux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Pierre. Pierre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Deveraux sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pierre somewhat. Pierre looks gassed! Pierre takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Deveraux throws a hook but Pierre blocks it. Deveraux pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pierre will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pierre with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Deveraux to score with a decent uppercut. Pierre closes the distance and clinches up with Deveraux, looking for a takedown. Pierre pushes Deveraux against the cage but Deveraux circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pierre shoots in and drives through. Deveraux sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deveraux connects with a superb combination that knocks Pierre out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Deveraux before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Pierre!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rotten tries to bum rush Krukiov with a series of wild strikes but Krukiov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Krukiov shoots in and drives through. Rotten sprawls well. Krukiov slips under a jab. Krukiov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rotten tries to clinch up but Krukiov circles away and keeps his distance. Rotten walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Krukiov checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Rotten misses with a series of wild punches.
Rotten closes the distance and lands a one-two. Krukiov fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Krukiov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rotten as he avoids it easily. Bas Rotten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vlad Krukiov.
That's one minute gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rotten. Rotten wants to lay and pray for a moment but Krukiov keeps working. Sloppy strikes there by Rotten. Krukiov manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rotten's best efforts. Rotten looks to land a strike but Krukiov avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Rotten has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rotten is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rotten content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Chavez with that takedown attempt. Dymond lands with a kick to the temple. Chavez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Dymond misses with a head kick.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dymond wants it to stay on the feet. James Dymond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alfredo Chavez. No luck for Chavez with that takedown attempt. Chavez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dymond pinned against the cage. A jab from Chavez finds it's way through Dymond's defenses. Chavez with a lazy takedown attempt and Dymond counters with a series of strikes. Chavez will be more careful next time no doubt. Chavez misses with a takedown attempt and Dymond counters with a shoot takedown. Chavez fights it but they end up in guard. Dymond gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Dymond feints and then cracks Chavez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chavez down. Chavez missing with a left hand there. Dymond was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Excellent takedown into side control there by Dymond. An elbow from Dymond crashes against the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dymond tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chavez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chavez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Chavez has his takedown stuffed and Dymond counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dymond. Chavez keeping moving, preventing Dymond from controlling successfully. Chavez managing to control the position. Chavez is trying to hold Dymond in close to prevent damage but Dymond has managed to pass into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dymond missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chavez with a poor takedown and Dymond counters with a takedown into side control. Dymond decides to take the fight back to the feet. Chavez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. No luck for Dymond with that takedown attempt. Dymond closes the distance and lands a one-two. Chavez misses with a looping right. Dymond lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Chavez fails with the takedown and Dymond counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Dymond manages to break the clinch.
A big left from Chavez misses. Dymond feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. This has been an exciting period of action! Dymond decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Chavez, up you get! Dymond fails to land with a series of punches.

Chavez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chavez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chavez! Dymond managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chavez.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Dymond's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dymond can't do much from the bottom here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dymond gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Dymond shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dymond showed some decent athleticism there. Chavez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. James Dymond overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dymond as Chavez tries to tie him up. Chavez looking to throw knees to the head but Dymond is blocking nicely.
Chavez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Dymond gets control of Chavez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dymond will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Chavez wants to stand but Dymond is controlling his posture from full guard.

Chavez is fighting to break Dymond's control of his arms but Dymond is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Dymond kicks Chavez off and gets to his feet. Dymond tries to close the distance and clinch but Chavez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dymond looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dymond throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. No joy there for Dymond, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chavez swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Dymond might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dymond trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dymond decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Chavez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dymond was well out of range. Poor timing from Chavez. Dymond lands with a kick to the temple. Chavez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Chavez misses the shot to the body. Dymond lands a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dymond shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dymond was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dymond looking to finish Chavez with some ground and pound. This is bad for Chavez! Dymond has control of Chavez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Chavez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Chavez is looking to improve his position but Dymond isn't that keen on the idea. Dymond is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chavez swings for the body but Dymond moves out of range.
Dymond is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chavez can do to turn this around?

so Dymond counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dymond gets to his feet. Chavez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Chavez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dymond can pounce on him.

Chavez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dymond counters with a single leg into guard. Chavez didn't expect that. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Chavez keeping moving, preventing Dymond from controlling successfully. Chavez is pulling down on Dymond's head. It's preventing any offense from Dymond, at least for the moment. Chavez working a defensive guard here.
Alfredo Chavez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James Dymond is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chavez keeping full guard, as Dymond tries to pass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Paiva is defended easily by Savage. Savage misses with a hook. Paiva shoots in but no luck this time. Paiva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruno Paiva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Savage fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Savage connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Savage moves into the clinch. Savage makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Paiva jumps guard but Savage stands there with Paiva around his waist. Paiva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Nice. Noel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fidelo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Fidelo is pushing Noel's head away, looking to escape. Noel manages to hold on to the position though. Noel tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Noel postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Fidelo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Noel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
