The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lobster throws a head kick that misses. Lobster lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Lobster looks to land a combination but Shinomori avoids it well. Lobster throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Lobster moves out of range of the leg kick from Shinomori. Lobster throws a nice looking combination but Shinomori bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Shinomori shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lobster is trying to defend but Shinomori finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lobster is trying to maintain the position but Shinomori is very close to passing his half guard. Shinomori frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lobster can't escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shinomori controlling from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shinomori won't let Lobster get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Shinomori raining down hammerfists from mount. Shinomori sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Shinomori is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lobster has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Shinomori trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shinomori controlling his opponent. Lobster tries to buck Shinomori off but he can't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shinomori controlling his opponent. Lobster just holding on. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shinomori controlling from mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Shinomori working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Lobster tries to hold on but Shinomori postures up. Shinomori tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Shinomori with shots to the head and body - Lobster looks very uncomfortable down there. Shinomori takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Lobster is squirming around, avoiding Shinomori's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lobster wants to hold on but Shinomori pushes him away. Shinomori swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Renzo Shinomori! A relieved looking Renzo Shinomori thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bastarache fails with the takedown and Lepeaux counters with a left to the body. Lepeaux jabs Bastarache to the body, keeping him at a distance. Bastarache on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Lepeaux lands a glancing blow to the side of Bastarache's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lepeaux pushes Bastarache up against the cage in a clinch. Lepeaux working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Lepeaux misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lepeaux tries to land knees in the clinch but Bastarache avoids the damage to the body. Lepeaux lands a body punch in the clinch. Lepeaux misses with a punch to the body.
A shot in the inside from Lepeaux. A nice right hand lands inside from Lepeaux. Lepeaux lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Lepeaux pushes Bastarache back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bastarache turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bastarache manages to end up in side control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Lepeaux is trying to improve his position. Lepeaux wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. You can see the frustration on Lepeaux's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lepeaux is looking for a sweep. Bastarache trying to control the position but Lepeaux is working away. Bastarache content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Lepeaux is trying to control Bastarache's posture but Bastarache avoids it. You can see the frustration on Lepeaux's face as Bastarache controls the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lepeaux stuffs the takedown attempt from Bastarache. Bastarache gets slowly back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Lepeaux connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bastarache momentarily.
Lepeaux slaps away a takedown attempt from Bastarache, before circling back to the center of the mat. Roman Lepeaux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Bastarache. Lepeaux lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bastarache at a distance.

We're going to have a standup here because Roman Lepeaux wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lepeaux connects with a body shot that sends Bastarache's belly button to the back. Bastarache dives in and grabs Lepeaux's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lepeaux pushes down on Bastarache's head and hops out. Lepeaux scores with a hook to the body. Bastarache takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. This has been an exciting period of action! Lepeaux moves into the clinch. Lepeaux breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lepeaux lands a right hook to the body.

It looks like Jason Bastarache has been cut. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! That's going to take a lot out of Jason Bastarache. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bastarache avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Bastarache is breathing heavily. Lepeaux lands with an overhand left.

Lepeaux throws a leg kick but Bastarache sees it coming and moves out of range. Bastarache takes one to the chin there. Roman Lepeaux is winning the standup battle so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bastarache is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lepeaux wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Lepeaux scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lepeaux lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Lepeaux misses with a low kick.
Lepeaux scores with a punch to the head. Lepeaux is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bastarache can do to turn this around? Lepeaux lands with a nice body punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lepeaux lands a left and a right that send Bastarache crashing to the mat, dazed. Lepeaux thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Bastarache dodges the punch combination from Lepeaux.

Lepeaux is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bastarache is defending well for now. Lepeaux breaks the clinch.
Lepeaux is looking to wear down Bastarache with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Lepeaux lands a jab to the nose. Lepeaux cracks Bastarache with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Lepeaux grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Bastarache takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Lepeaux cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keller showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Harty.
Keller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harty pinned against the cage. Harty gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Keller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harty's waist but Harty gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Keller off to one side. Harty throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Keller avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Harty lands a takedown into guard.
Keller looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Keller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Keller is tightening it up a little... Harty has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Harty reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Harty taps out! Nice BJJ there by Keller!

It looks like Bryson Khan has been cut. Khan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Guy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Khan doesn't seem bothered though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Khan gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Guy gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chinese Guy! A very excited looking Chinese Guy rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Hellbent. Rich walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hellbent. Rich walks into a straight right hand from Hellbent. Hellbent throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hellbent moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hank Hellbent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rich takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rich shoots in and drives through. Hellbent sprawls well. Rich looks for a takedown but Hellbent sprawls well. Rich walks into a stiff left hand from Hellbent. Hellbent scoring well with a low kick there.

and Rich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hellbent's guard now. Rich prevents Hellbent from getting back to his feet. Hellbent keeping moving, preventing Rich from controlling successfully. Rich's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rick Rich wasn't doing enough on the ground. Hellbent scores with a nice head shot. Rich takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Rich fails with the takedown and Hellbent counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Rich. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hellbent connects with a right hand. Rich shakes it off. Rich tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Hellbent moves out of range as Rich throws a body kick.
Hellbent throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rich on the side of the head. Hellbent lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Rich would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rich sitting in guard here, content to control. Rich won't allow Hellbent to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rick Rich. Hellbent paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Hellbent misses the shot to the body. Rich gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Hellbent lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Rich is looking to control Hellbent's arms but Hellbent gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rich has his back to the cage. Rich tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hellbent tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Rich is trying to push Hellbent away but Hellbent has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Hellbent scores with a hook to the body. A battle for position here, against the cage. Hellbent misses with a short punch on the inside. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hellbent lands with a short head shot on the inside. Hellbent lands a hook to the side of the head. Hellbent is trying to stall.

Rick Rich is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hellbent throws a leg kick which misses Rich's front leg but catches the back leg as Rich tries to avoid it. Hellbent scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Hellbent tests Rich's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hellbent misses with a looping right. Hellbent lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hellbent's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rich under the eye. Hellbent looks to land a combination. Rich sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hellbent throws a big shot that misses. Rich takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Oh Rich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hellbent scores with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hellbent connects with a crisp jab. Hellbent blocks a leg kick. Rich takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Rich shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hellbent napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hellbent is not content to let Rich control the position. Rich is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hellbent knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rich taking a break here but Hellbent is having none of it and regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rich working the head and body with strikes. Rich is keen to just control but Hellbent is a slippery customer.

Hellbent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rich is trying to control. Hellbent wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rich lands a nice short elbow. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rich in particular looking to stall. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rick Rich has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hellbent thuds his right hand into Rich's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Hellbent fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rich looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rich shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hellbent defends it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rich tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hellbent swivels and escapes. Hellbent connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Hellbent lands a really nice looking cross but Rich seems unphased.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Katipunan enables Benard to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Katipunan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Benard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Katipunan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Benard defends well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Katipunan has his foot on Benard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Benard works his way back into a safe position though. Benard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Katipunan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sedes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Henderson moves away. Sedes shoots for a takedown but Henderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Henderson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Henderson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sedes. Sedes circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Dan Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big left from Henderson misses. Sedes takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
