The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams with a nice cross.

It looks like Jean Claude Van Dang has been cut.

Adams feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Van Dang sprawling to the canvas! Van Dang rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Adams finish him?!

Van Dang is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Adams moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Van Dang is still on wobbly legs! Can Adams finish him?
Van Dang throws the left hand but Adams avoids the punch easily.
Van Dang seems to have recovered his senses.
Adams fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Van Dang.

Van Dang steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Adams. That one must have hurt.
Van Dang looks gassed!

Adams drops Van Dang with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Van Dang looks back up at him and smiles so Adams waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Van Dang is rocked!
An inside leg kick lands from Adams.

Adams lands a big right hand that sends Van Dang crashing to the mat! Adams stays standing though and waves Van Dang back to his feet!
Van Dang is still on wobbly legs! Can Adams finish him?
Van Dang circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Adams. Van Dang falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Adams!

Shogun Rua had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Stan Baem has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?
