The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mironov throws a right hand that Padalecki ducks under and follows up with a left that Padalecki also avoids with ease. Padalecki darts in trying to clinch and Mironov counters with a nice uppercut. Padalecki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mironov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mironov misses the jab. Mironov throws a half hearted mid kick. Padalecki throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mironov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Padalecki. Mironov keeps the fight on the outside. It looks like he might have it! Demonstrada tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kowalski cranks the arm and Demonstrada screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Demonstrada, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

8 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Nathan Corbett! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Agaton Piaskun! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corbett does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Piaskun circles away from the clinch attempt and Piaskun counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Corbett is lucky that one didn't land flush. Corbett tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Corbett avoids the head kick by Piaskun.
A looping hook to the body misses from Piaskun. Corbett does a little dance to reset his feet. Corbett moves in looking to clinch but Piaskun pushes him off. Corbett closes the distance looking to clinch and Piaskun counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Corbett wants to sweep but no luck. Corbett is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Piaskun wants to pass the guard but Corbett is keeping the position.

Corbett thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Piaskun can do anything to dispel that myth. Piaskun is refusing to be controlled, as Corbett sits in half guard. Corbett is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Piaskun doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Corbett. Corbett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Piaskun's head.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Piaskun is looking to improve his position.

We're going to have a standup here because Nathan Corbett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Corbett gets in close and instigates a clinch. Corbett missing with knees to the body.

That was a close round but I would say that Nathan Corbett will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Agaton Piaskun's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Piaskun keeps the fight on the outside. Piaskun throws a shot from downtown. Corbett moves away and avoids it. Corbett tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Corbett tries to clinch but Piaskun moves out of range. Corbett lands with a slapping head kick. Corbett tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Piaskun counters with a body kick that stops Corbett in his tracks momentarily. Corbett misses with a double jab.
Horrible takedown by Piaskun or perhaps it was just good defense by Corbett which made him look bad. Corbett takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Corbett counters with a head kick. That will keep Piaskun thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Corbett is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Piaskun is looking to land body kicks. Corbett tries to close the distance and clinch but Piaskun swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nathan Corbett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Piaskun circles away from the clinch attempt.
Agaton Piaskun seems to be getting the better of the standup. Piaskun throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Corbett stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Corbett tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Piaskun decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Corbett's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Piaskun working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Corbett's head. Corbett manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Piaskun tries to get back to half guard but can't. Piaskun wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Corbett.

Piaskun avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Corbett. Piaskun is looking for a sweep. Corbett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Corbett trying to control from Piaskun's half guard. Piaskun has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Agaton Piaskun has got the better of the ground game so far. Corbett sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Piaskun's guard. Piaskun tries to roll over but Corbett keeps him under control. Piaskun is staying active underneath Corbett, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Piaskun takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Corbett dips to his left and cracks Piaskun with an uppercut! Corbett bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Piaskun's head. Piaskun takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Corbett turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A punch lands to the side of Piaskun 's head but he takes it in his stride. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fight stays on the outside here - Corbett looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Piaskun shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Corbett keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Piaskun connects with a nice short shot to Corbett's temple. Corbett wants to control but Piaskun is keeping busy.

Corbett keeping moving, preventing Piaskun from controlling successfully. Corbett is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Piaskun is controlling him. Piaskun is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Corbett tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corbett tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Piaskun manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nathan Corbett. Well Corbett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
