Engle kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sorry you're not a winner-Enter Shikari. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Haggen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Richards manages to get back to half guard.

Richards is desperately trying to improve his position but Geissen has a good base and remains in mount.
Richards wants to hold on but Geissen pushes him away.
Richards sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Richards has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Geissen. Oh but Richards has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Geissen goes limp - he's gone! Richards jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shaquille Oneal!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurminen connects with a solid leg kick.
Nurminen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Nurminen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Oneal can pounce on him.
Oneal throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nurminen getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

It looks like Shaquille Oneal has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Nurminen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Oneal sprawling to the canvas! Oneal rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Nurminen finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters circling - Nurminen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Oneal moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Nurminen fails to land with a series of punches.
Nurminen finds Oneal's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Oneal flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Nurminen lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Oneal will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rakastaja Nurminen!
