0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Klaas Van Velzen! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Velzen swinging wildly here.
Uta shoots in but no luck this time. Uta misses with a head kick.
Uta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Uta shoots for a double leg takedown but Van Velzen sprawls well. He's pushed Uta's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Van Velzen moves in looking to clinch but Uta pushes him off. Van Velzen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Uta tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Van Velzen is in Uta's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Uta wants to stand up but Van Velzen is controlling him. Uta is striking but Van Velzen is not phased and passes to half guard. Van Velzen wants to free his trapped foot but Uta is holding on for dear life with his legs. Van Velzen is taking a breather. Uta says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Uta regains full guard. Nicely done. Uta has his feet on Van Velzen's thighs here. He's pushed Van Velzen off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Van Velzen screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Zigurat is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by George Thorogood - bad to the bone. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samuel Zigurat! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cartman throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zigurat counters with a takedown into side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Cartman wants to get back to his feet but Zigurat drags him back down. Cartman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Cartman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Zigurat asserts his dominance and retains side control. Zigurat trying to control the position but Cartman is working away. Cartman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zigurat tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zigurat has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Zigurat has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zigurat shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Zigurat seems content to control. Zigurat working Cartman over with strikes. Cartman won't allow Zigurat to pass to mount. Zigurat is working for a kimura but Cartman is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cartman is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zigurat lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cartman on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Zigurat is looking to take a break and control but Cartman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cartman is trying to stand back up but Zigurat is controlling him
Zigurat is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Zigurat decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Cartman as Zigurat shoots in. Zigurat closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cartman circles away. Zigurat lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cartman backs up against the cage.
Sloppy strikes from Cartman. Those never looked like landing. Zigurat looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cartman! Cartman is trying to stand up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zigurat stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zigurat fails to land the takedown. Eric Cartman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Zigurat. A big left from Cartman misses. Eric Cartman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zigurat slips a jab from Cartman. Zigurat is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cartman's half guard. Zigurat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cartman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cartman is trying to stand.

and Zigurat counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zigurat is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cartman sees it coming and defends easily. Zigurat missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Cartman is trying to stand up here but Zigurat is controlling him well. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zigurat connects with a nice short shot to Cartman's temple. Cartman is trying to stand.
Zigurat is looking to take a break and control but Cartman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Zigurat is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Cartman pushes Zigurat off but Zigurat dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zigurat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Zigurat lands strikes from half guard. Zigurat scoring with strikes to the body and head. Cartman pushes Zigurat off looking to stand but Zigurat dives back in and keeps control.
Samuel Zigurat has got the better of the ground game so far. Zigurat scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Zigurat looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cartman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Zigurat is controlling the pace.
Zigurat seems to be working for a kimura but Cartman defends the submission attempt. Zigurat lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zigurat is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cartman pushes Zigurat off looking to stand but Zigurat dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cartman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zigurat scores with a couple of nice shots. Zigurat decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Zigurat looking to score a takedown here. Cartman is defending well but Zigurat drives through and ends up in Cartman's guard. Zigurat postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Zigurat gets to his feet - Cartman follows without any prompting. Left hook, right uppercut from Zigurat. Zigurat has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Zigurat avoids a punch combination nicely.

Samuel Zigurat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Cartman feints and as Zigurat raises his hands in defense, Cartman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cartman drops back looking for a leg! Zigurat is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zigurat manages to kick Cartman off! Cartman jumps back into Zigurat's guard. Zigurat can't keep his opponent in guard - Cartman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Cartman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Guerrier. Guerrier circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Owen Guerrier has been cut. Guerrier tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ellis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ellis swats away the attempt to clinch by Guerrier. Ellis throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
No luck for Guerrier with that takedown attempt. Guerrier tries to close the distance and clinch but Ellis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ellis keeps the fight on the outside. Ellis gets in close and instigates a clinch. Guerrier tries to land knees in the clinch but Ellis avoids the damage to the body. Guerrier slows down the pace here.

Oh Ellis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Guerrier has taken the fight to the clinch.
Clinched against the cage, Guerrier lands a big elbow that drops Ellis! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Ellis is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Darby lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vantrell circles away quickly and effectively. Vantrell shoots in for a takedown but Darby shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vantrell. Nice defenses there by Darby. Vantrell lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Darby backs up against the cage.
Vantrell shoots in but Darby avoids the takedown attempt easily. John Darby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vic Vantrell. Darby scores with a three punch combo!
Vantrell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Darby but Darby pushes him off and we're back to square one. Vantrell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Darby sprawls well initially but Vantrell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Darby wants to get back to full guard. Darby is pressing down on Vantrell's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Vantrell has gone for a leg lock! Darby slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vantrell's guard. Vantrell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Darby gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Darby sitting in guard, not really doing much. Darby drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vantrell looks panicked!
