Jim Morrison had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lecter fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sanders is out of range.
Lecter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Sanders takes one on the button.

It looks like Damien Sanders has been cut.
Sanders throws a series of punches but Lecter avoids them all with ease.
Sanders cracks Lecter with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lecter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sanders.
Sanders uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lecter.
Sanders misses the shot to the body.
Lecter takes a swing at Sanders's ribcage but misses.
Damien Sanders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lecter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sanders misses with a two punch combination.
Sanders misses with a series of wild punches.
Lecter throws a lazy right hand but Sanders sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sanders lands a jab to Lecter's midsection.
Sanders looks to land a combination but Lecter avoids it well.
Sanders fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lecter looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanders is just out of range.
Sanders lands a nice hook to Lecter's body. Lecter takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lecter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanders stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lecter takes a swing at Sanders's ribcage but misses.
Damien Sanders is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lecter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sanders moves forwards but Lecter connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Sanders misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sanders misses with a two punch combination.
Sanders throws a shot from downtown. Lecter moves away and avoids it.
Sanders goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sanders throws a series of punches but Lecter avoids them all with ease.
Sanders throws a big shot that misses.
Sanders walks into a straight right hand from Lecter.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sanders throws a right hand that Lecter ducks under and follows up with a left that Lecter also avoids with ease.
Sanders with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lecter to score with a decent uppercut.
Sanders ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lecter moves away.
Sanders checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lecter takes a swing at Sanders's ribcage but misses.
A slow jab from Sanders misses its intended target.
Sanders ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sanders feints a jab promting Lecter to slip. Sanders then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lecter slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Hannibal Lecter has been cut.
Sanders digs a good hook to Lecter's body.
Sanders avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sanders misses with a wild combination.
Sanders misses with a body shot.
Sanders scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lecter doesn't seem bothered though.
Sanders with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Lecter's corner calls for a 1-2. Lecter obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A jab from Sanders finds it's way through Lecter's defenses.
Lecter throws an overhand right that lands on Sanders's shoulder, as Sanders tries to avoid the shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanders connects with a body shot that sends Lecter's belly button to the back.
Lecter is breathing heavily.

Sanders drops Lecter with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lecter looks back up at him and smiles so Sanders waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Lecter is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A combination from Sanders does no damage.
Oh Lecter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sanders lands with a right and another and another! Lecter is in big trouble! Sanders lands again and this time it's lights out for Lecter! A quality knockout there for Sanders.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Damien Sanders!
