0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chancho Smith! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Smith blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jones decides to stand up. Smith tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. The fight stays on the outside here - Smith looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Smith leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jones dodges the punch combination from Smith.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones clinches up against the cage. Jones manages to break the clinch.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Jones's corner calls for a 1-2. Jones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Smith shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Smith to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Jones is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Smith tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Smith manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jones on his heels. He'll look to pass Jones's guard now, I'm sure. Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jones is breathing heavily. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jones seems to have got his legs back now. Smith makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaylock swinging wildly here.
Blaylock lands a nice hook to Luan's body. Luan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Blaylock lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Luan backs up against the cage.
Luan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blaylock tries to avoid it but Luan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blaylock to the ground. Blaylock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Luan moves forwards but Blaylock connects with a nice, crisp jab. Blaylock connects with a good right hand that stumbles Luan. Luan circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Danga de danga de dang - Blaylock scores with a four punch combination! Luan fails with a takedown attempt from distance. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Riggins works his way back into a safe position though. Dowal looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Dowal keeping moving, preventing Riggins from controlling successfully. Riggins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Albrani misses with a jab, cross combination.
Albrani throws a wild combination but nothing lands. George Albrani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jkh throws a combination that misses and Albrani counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Albrani throws a hook to the side of Jkh's head but Jkh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Albrani throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Norris fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Black sprawls well initially but Norris persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Norris thows a huge punch but Black dodges it nicely.
Norris is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Norris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Norris throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Norris is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Black doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Norris. Norris lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Norris is keen to just control but Black is a slippery customer. Black on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Norris lands a nice short elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris passes to full mount! Norris sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Norris in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Norris is landing with some decent strikes but Black is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The referee warns Black that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Black is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Norris lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Black! Norris sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Black and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skiripan looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Skiripan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Skiripan tries to sprawl but Gracie drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Skiripan is looking to control Gracie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Skiripan avoid being mounted? Skiripan is staying active underneath Gracie, who seems content to just control the action from this position. It looks like Gracie is going to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Skiripan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gracie connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie looking for a guillotine from mount but Skiripan is having none of it. Skiripan can't escape the position.

Skiripan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gracie is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Skiripan is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Skiripan flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gracie anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Skiripan and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gracie slips an arm under Skiripan chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gracie has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gracie is squeezing on Skiripan like an anaconda would it's prey. Skiripan fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Matt Gracie! Matt Gracie was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Takeda. OLeary darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. OLeary trying to control from half guard but Takeda is working away. The fighters are battling for position here. Takeda manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Takeda working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from OLeary. OLeary is sitting in close to Takeda's body. Takeda has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! OLeary is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, OLeary is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Takeda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Fossmo misses. Shura stuffs the takedown attempt from Fossmo. Fossmo gets slowly back to his feet. An inside leg kick lands from Shura. Fossmo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Shura lands with a kick to the temple. Fossmo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Helge Fossmo has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Shura thumps Fossmo with a low kick. Fossmo misses with a takedown attempt and Shura counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helge Fossmo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fossmo is breathing heavily. Fossmo misses with a takedown and Shura counters with an outside leg kick.
A solid body kick from Shura. A nice inside leg kick there by Shura. That's going to slow Fossmo down. Fossmo ducks right into an uppercut from Shura. Fossmo takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Shura lands with a thumping leg kick.
Fossmo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Shura scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Shura tries to clinch but Fossmo is having none of it. That kick from Shura tenderised Fossmo's leg. Fossmo is trying to keep his angry face on. Shura throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fossmo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Shura paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Shura has closed the distance and engaged Fossmo in a clinch.

Fossmo tries to pull guard but Shura forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Shura misses with some punches.
Shura makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shura swings wildly with an uppercut but Fossmo uses good head movement to avoid it. A head punch blocked on the inside by Fossmo. Fossmo on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shura presses Fossmo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Shura unloads a knee to the mid-section. Knees in the clinch landing for Shura.
Shura lands a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shura scores with a shoulder strike. Shura tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Shura throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Fossmo blocks it with crossed arms. Shura with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yaga Shura dominated that round. The cut man is working on Helge Fossmo's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fossmo shoots in for a takedown but Shura shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A thudding body kick lands there by Shura!
Nice straight punches there by Shura. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Shura. Shura dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fossmo. That did some damage! Shura lands a nice looking body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fossmo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shura - the referee stops the clock and Fossmo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shura. Fossmo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Shura bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Shura throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Shura clinches. Shura holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shura pushes Fossmo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Shura jerks Fossmo's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Fossmo drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Shura goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Shura because Fossmo was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Yaga Shura! Yaga Shura gave a mention to Black Market Pharmacy and Laundromat in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
