Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Meogeedo Machida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gus Jepperd! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jepperd throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jepperd paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Machida uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jepperd.
Machida is looking to chop away at Jepperd's legs. Jepperd bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Machida wants to clinch up but Jepperd keeps it at a distance. Jepperd will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jepperd rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machida moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Machida looks to clinch and Jepperd counters with a head kick. That will keep Machida thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jepperd looks to land a right hand but Machida moved out of range. Jepperd looks to land a left hand but Machida moved out of range nicely. Machida misses with a leg kick enabling Jepperd to counter with a crisp jab. Machida takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Jepperd tests Machida's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jepperd throws a jab when Machida was well out of range. Jepperd throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A cross from Jepperd lands. Jepperd lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Jepperd feints and then cracks Machida's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Machida down. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jepperd misses with a wild body shot. Jepperd moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Jepperd throws a body kick that misses. Machida has a takedown stuffed. Jepperd cracks Machida with a right hand to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machida takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jepperd displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Machida. Jepperd's corner calls for a 1-2. Jepperd obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jepperd looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Jepperd moves out of range of the leg kick from Machida.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jepperd lands a really nice looking cross but Machida seems unphased.
Machida fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Meogeedo Machida. That's going to take a lot out of him. Machida ducks under a wild hook from Jepperd. A bone on bone clash there as Machida blocks the leg kick.
Jepperd scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jepperd motions for Machida to come forward. Jepperd throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jepperd checks a leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gus Jepperd dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jepperd throws a looping overhand right but Machida ducks down to avoid it. Jepperd goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jepperd tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Machida is able to avoid easily. Jepperd looks for the body kick but Machida saw that one coming. Machida throws a lazy head kick and Jepperd counters with a nice body shot. Jepperd feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Machida's calf. Machida takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Machida throws an off balance right hand
and Jepperd counters with a slapping leg kick. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Machida might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jepperd misses with a low kick. Machida walks into a left hand. Machida moves out of range as Jepperd strikes. Decent striking displayed by Jepperd there. Jepperd lands an overhand right. Machida moves out of range as Jepperd strikes. Machida wants to clinch. Machida tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jepperd sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machida somewhat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jepperd looks to throw the jab but Machida is out of range. Machida falls off balance throwing a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machida moves out of range of the strikes. Jepperd leaves Machida with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A big right from Jepperd misses. Machida walks into a stiff left hand from Jepperd. Good standup being displayed there by Jepperd as he connects with a hook. Machida takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jepperd cracks Machida with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Machida moves forwards but Jepperd connects with a nice, crisp jab. Machida displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jepperd throws out the jab. Jepperd throws a shot to the body.
Jepperd fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Machida. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jepperd throws a low kick but it's checked well by Machida. Jepperd misses with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gus Jepperd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Machida moves out of range as Jepperd strikes. Machida steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jepperd. Jepperd has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jepperd throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Machida sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jepperd scores with a jab. Machida acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Jepperd throws a right and a left that Machida avoids nicely. Machida blocks the body kick.
Jepperd lands with a right hand. Machida shoots for a takedown but Jepperd saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Machida looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Jepperd bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Machida's head backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jepperd fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Machida has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Machida moves out of range of the strikes. Jepperd throws a leg kick which misses Machida's front leg but catches the back leg as Machida tries to avoid it. Gus Jepperd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jepperd misses with a body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machida looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jepperd scores with a jab to the head.
Jepperd works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Machida chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jepperd can pounce on him.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Machida tries to clinch up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice jab there from Jepperd. Machida throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Jepperd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jepperd scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jepperd connects with a solid leg kick. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jepperd - that will leave a mark!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jepperd connects with a body shot that sends Machida's belly button to the back. Gus Jepperd is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jepperd dips to his left and cracks Machida with an uppercut!
And that's the end of the fight! Gus Jepperd comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jepperd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Padalski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rose pinned against the cage. Rose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Padalski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Padalski moves into full mount! Rose won't be happy about that! Rose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Padalski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Padalski controlling the pace for now. Padalski is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rose is surviving well by controlling Padalski's body position as best he can. Padalski moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Rose has worked his arm free - good work by Rose!

Padalski throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Rose works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Padalski trying to control the pace.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Padalski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Padalski is working for a kimura but Rose is defending it quite comfortably.

Padalski looking to secure an arm triangle but Rose defends it well. Rose's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Rose is squirming around, avoiding Padalski's attempts to control the action.

But Rose has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rose! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rose missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Padalski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rose defends it easily. Rose trying to stand up but can't free himself from Padalski's guard. Rose got a little sloppy there for a moment and Padalski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rose has managed to get both his arms back between Padalski's legs - danger averted. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Padalski is working the butterfly guard. It's preventing any offense from Rose, at least for the moment. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rose throws a leg kick but Padalski sees it coming and moves out of range.

Rose is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Padalski is controlling him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that's the end of the fight! Dimo Padalski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Padalski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs staying out of range there. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jacobs, as that shot connected.
Jacobs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Manlucas sees it coming and avoids it easily. Manlucas takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Manlucas is rocked! Manlucas slips a straight right by Jacobs. Oh Manlucas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A jab from Jacobs misses. Jacobs cracks Manlucas's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Manlucas slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Jacobs can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Daley gets in close and instigates a clinch. Yamamoto is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Daley pulls him back up using the underhooks. Daley gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Yamamoto.
Daley prevents a body shot from Yamamoto. Yamamoto is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warmaster feints and as Dowson raises his hands in defense, Warmaster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dowson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Warmaster sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dowson's guard. Dowson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dowson is defending against the submission attempts here by Warmaster.
