9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hairy Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Willaims! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willaims takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Willaims drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Willaims lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bear down.
Bear tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Willaims wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Willaims gets to mount! Bear was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Willaims looking to finish Bear with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bear! Willaims lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bear hang on? Bear is looking to get to half guard. Bear is working hard here to advance position. Willaims scoring with strikes but Bear is staying in there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Willaims takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Willaims takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Willaims is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Bear takes a swing at Willaims's ribcage but misses. Willaims moves forwards but Bear connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Willaims ducks under a wild hook from Bear. Bear blocks a jab. Bear missing with a left hand there. Willaims was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Willaims throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bear misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Willaims.
Willaims uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bear. Bear slips a straight right by Willaims. Bear tries a head kick but it misses.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nealy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it. Jones lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Tom Nealy has been cut. Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones throws a chopping leg kick but Nealy manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A head kick misses from Jones. Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Head loads up on a big right hand but Strope slips the punch. Head is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Head get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Head stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Strope runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ahokas punishes Brown's body with a nice straight punch. Ahokas moves out of range as Brown strikes. Ahokas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Ahokas. Brown throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ahokas sees it coming and avoids it easily. Brown slips a jab from Ahokas. Ahokas explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Ahokas scores with a nice body kick.

Ahokas misses with a two punch combination.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brown sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ahokas defending well though. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Ahokas's temple. Brown throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Brown missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ahokas is looking for a sweep. Brown is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown is looking to pass Ahokas's guard but actually Ahokas recovers to full guard. Ahokas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brown is one step ahead there. Brown wants to pass the guard but Ahokas is keeping the position. Ahokas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brown is in close to Ahokas's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Ahokas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brown gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Brown scoring with punches to the head and body. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ahokas's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ahokas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ahokas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A nice inside leg kick there by Ahokas. That's going to slow Brown down. A close third round but Jiri Ahokas just about did enough to take it. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
