25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dwight Grant! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grant sprawls well. Grant wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson lands with a cross. Grant shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Johnson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Grant thinking. Johnson shoots in but Grant avoids the takedown attempt easily. Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grant swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corey Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A swing and a miss from Johnson. Grant is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Grant with a lazy takedown attempt and Grant takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Grant feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Grant changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Grant with a nice head shot there. Grant stops Johnson from standing up. Grant has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Grant trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grant might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Grant is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Johnson tries to roll over but Grant keeps him under control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. That was a close round but I would say that Corey Johnson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Johnson throws a big right hand that misses.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Maggio there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Maggio thumps Sanchez with a low kick. Sanchez throws a head kick but Maggio moves out of range.
Maggio feints and then cracks Sanchez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sanchez down. Maggio gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Maggio fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sanchez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Sanchez throws a big shot that misses. Maggio buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Maggio pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Maggio throws a head kick that Sanchez semi-blocks.

Horrible takedown by Monferrand or perhaps it was just good defense by Dent which made him look bad. Dent scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Monferrand misses with a looping right. Monferrand fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dent jabs at Monferrand's body. Dent lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Monferrand backs up against the cage.

Monferrand takes a shot right to the bread basket. Dent catches Monferrand with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Monferrand fails with the takedown. Pru Dent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Monferrand. Monferrand is breathing heavily. Monferrand with a poor takedown and Dent counters with a three punch combo that has Monferrand backing up. Monferrand nods at Dent to acknowledge the strikes.
 Monferrand is rocked! Are you kidding me?! Dent ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Monferrand clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Salita has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dillan finds it's way round the side to connect with Salita's head. Dillan slips a straight right by Salita. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dillan, as that shot connected.

and Salita connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A cross from Dillan lands. Dillan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Salita on the side of the head. Dillan misses with a few strikes there.
Dillan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Salita ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dillan moves away. Dillan throws a right hand that Salita ducks under and follows up with a left that Salita also avoids with ease. Dillan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Salita looks to score with a jab to the body but Dillan is just out of range. Salita keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasserman throws a series of punches but Betoli avoids them all with ease. Kasserman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Betoli moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pasquale Kasserman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Betoli fails with a takedown attempt. Betoli with a poor takedown and Kasserman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kasserman. Horrible takedown by Betoli or perhaps it was just good defense by Kasserman which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Betoli. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kasserman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A jab-cross combination lands for Kasserman and sends Betoli crashing to the mat! Kasserman follows him down to the mat - Betoli regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Betoli blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kasserman. Kasserman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kasserman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Betoli avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kasserman. Kasserman is nestled in close to Betoli, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kasserman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Betoli is not content to let Kasserman control the position. Kasserman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

 Pasquale Kasserman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Betoli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kasserman tries to avoid it but Betoli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kasserman to the ground. Kasserman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kasserman fails to land with a series of punches.
Kasserman scores with a spinning back kick! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kasserman stuns Betoli with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kasserman jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

This one is over folks. Betoli just didn't come prepared.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hogg missing with a left hand there. McGuire was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. McGuire takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. McGuire pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hogg jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hogg throws a nice outside leg kick. McGuire misses with a wild body shot. Hogg tries a head kick but it misses.
Hogg throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGuire sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hogg misses with a wild body shot. Hogg does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Hogg pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McGuire is looking to chop away at Hogg's legs. A bone on bone clash there as McGuire blocks the leg kick.
McGuire works the jab nicely. A low kick from Hogg misses enabling McGuire to counter with a crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGuire lands a glancing blow to the side of Hogg's head. Hogg uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McGuire. McGuire chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hogg can pounce on him.

Billet throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gauge sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gauge fakes the leg kick and cracks Billet in the body. Billet scores with a kick to the body.
Gauge throws the left hand but Billet avoids the punch easily. Billet jabbing away but nothing is landing. Billet throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Billet is looking to get to half guard. Gauge can't control as he wanted to and Billet manages to get the fight back to his half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Billet is looking to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyson Gauge. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gauge, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
