Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rylan Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Logan! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter checks the leg kick. A big left from Logan misses. Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Logan as he avoids it easily. Logan sends Hunter crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Logan is motioning to the referee to let Hunter up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Rylan Hunter has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hunter wants to take the fight to the mat but Logan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Hunter tries for a takedown but Logan manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rylan Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hunter jumps guard and drags Logan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hunter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Logan defends it easily. Hunter pushes Logan off and scrambles back to his feet.
Hunter throws a lazy uppercut
and Logan counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Hunter goes down! Will Hunter beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action!
Hunter is rocked! Logan stuns Hunter with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Oh Hunter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Logan tries to clinch but Hunter is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Logan closes the distance looking to clinch and Hunter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Logan's guard now. Hunter seems to have got his legs back now. Hunter is breathing heavily. Logan working for a triangle but Hunter defends it easily.
Hunter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Logan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Logan has Hunter pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Logan keeping full guard, as Hunter tries to pass. Logan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hunter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Frankie Logan. A combination from Logan does no damage. Logan darts in trying to clinch and Hunter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hunter. Hunter jumps guard and drags Logan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. This has been an exciting period of action! Hunter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Logan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hunter throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Logan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Logan wants to control from the top but Hunter keeps moving. Logan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hunter keeping moving, preventing Logan from controlling successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Logan won't allow Hunter to sweep him here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Frankie Logan wasn't active enough on the ground. Hunter clinches up against the cage. Stalling in the clinch from Hunter.
Hunter has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Logan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Logan trying to control the position but Hunter manages to sink in the hooks. Hunter punches Logan on the ear. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Logan is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hunter.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Logan trying to get back to his feet but Hunter is in full control for now. Hunter somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Logan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rylan Hunter's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hunter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hunter content just to control the position here. Hunter trying to control but Logan is having none of it. Logan wants to control but Hunter is having none of it. Hunter prevents Logan from getting the reversal. Hunter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hunter controlling the position easily from mount. Rylan Hunter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hunter punishing his opponent with strikes. Logan tries to reverse the position but Hunter maintains control. Logan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Logan is surviving well by controlling Hunter's body position as best he can. Logan is squirming around, avoiding Hunter's attempts to control the action. Logan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hunter with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Hunter looking to secure an arm triangle but Logan defends it well. Hunter fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Logan tries to hold on but Hunter pushes him away. Hunter wants to take Logan's back but he can't do it this time. Hunter has hold of Logan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Logan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Logan gets back to half guard. Hunter wants to advance to full mount but Logan doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Logan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Hunter engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hunter throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hunter shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hunter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hunter has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hunter looking for a guillotine from mount but Logan is having none of it. Hunter goes for an armbar but Logan turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Logan. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Logan is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Logan looking to sit in guard and control but Hunter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hunter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Logan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Logan has escaped and now he's on top! Hunter has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Logan has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Logan is controlling him well. Logan throws a strike aimed at the side of Hunter's head but Hunter avoids it well. You can see the frustration on Hunter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hunter bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Logan wants to clinch up but Hunter keeps it at a distance. Hunter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Logan.
Logan digs a good body shot into Hunter's ribs. Rylan Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Logan looks for the body kick but Hunter saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Logan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Logan wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Logan gets caught flat footed, as Hunter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hunter looking to pass the guard. Logan controls Hunter momentarily but Hunter frees himself. Logan wants to stand but Hunter is controlling the position. Hunter controlling from the top position. Hunter trying to control the position from guard on top but Logan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We're going to have a standup here because Rylan Hunter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hunter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hunter manages to end up in side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Logan misses with an elbow from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Logan wants to control but Hunter postures up. Hunter is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Logan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hunter gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Logan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hunter lets go of the hold and Logan can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Estep misses with a head kick.
Horton defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Estep. Estep stuffs the takedown attempt from Horton. Horton gets slowly back to his feet. Horton scores with a kick to the body.
Estep is breathing heavily. Horton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Horton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Horton trying to control but he's not successful this time. Estep is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Estep manages to regain half guard. Good work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Horton connects with a nice short shot to Estep's temple. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Estep is holding on to half guard well. Horton decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Horton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Estep manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Horton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Estep circles away quickly and effectively. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Estep closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Horton did well to prevent Estep getting side control. Horton is trying to get back to full guard. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Nick Horton. Well Horton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
