The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buakaw chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Buakaw misses with a low kick. Buakaw blocks a jab. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Toyokawa checks a leg kick. A punch lands to the side of Buakaw 's head but he takes it in his stride. Buakaw throws a nice looking combination but Toyokawa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Buakaw fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

It looks like Takeru Toyokawa has been cut. Buakaw is looking to score with low kicks. Buakaw misses with a series of wild punches.

Buakaw slips under a jab. Toyokawa lands with a straight right. Buakaw didn't see that one coming. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Toyokawa scores with a body shot.

Buakaw's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Toyokawa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Buakaw scrambles back to his feet.
Buakaw is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Toyokawa gets in close and instigates a clinch. Oh Buakaw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Toyokawa lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Toyokawa creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Buakaw crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Buakaw face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Toyokawa takes it with a brutal technical knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pong clinches with his opponent.
Pong keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Potter's efforts to push away. Pong keeps control of Potter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Pong has Potter pressed against the ropes, preventing Potter from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Potter tries to break free but Pong pushes him back against the ropes. Potter is trying to break the clinch but Pong has him pressed against the ropes. Potter can't break the clinch.
Pong lands on the inside with an uppercut. Pong tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Potter avoids it. Pong working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Pong scores with an uppercut up the middle. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Pong lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A nice right hand lands inside from Pong. Potter wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Potter wants to get back to striking at distance but Pong won't allow it.
Potter tries to break free but Pong pushes him back against the ropes. Pong connects with a nasty looking knee right to Potter's face.

Potter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Pong is working Potter over against the ropes. Pong lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Harry Potter has been cut. Pong cracks Potter with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Potter goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Potter wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!

I think Minami might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I'm Turning Japanese by The Vapors. LaRusso has chosen Joe Eposito - You're the best as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Guile throws a body kick that misses. Lard feints and then cracks Guile's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Guile down. Lard wants to land a leg kick but Guile is out of range. Lard misses the shot to the body. Guile throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lard scores with a nice right hand.

A head kick from Guile lands but Lard takes it in his stride. Tubo Lard seems to be getting the better of the standup. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Guile on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lard. Lard obviously looking to wear him down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lard connects with a jab. A head kick by Guile misses and before Guile has any time to reset, Lard cracks him with a big right hand that drops him face first to the canvas! He's hurt! I don't think he's going to get back up from that one! He's trying but he's doing the chicken dance and has face planted into to ropes, causing the referee to bring this fight to an end! This one is all over!
