4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy MacKenzie! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Alberta. MacKenzie cracks the inside of Alberta's front leg. The fight moves into the clinch position. Alberta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
MacKenzie cracks Alberta with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. MacKenzie moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. MacKenzie misses with a body shot.
MacKenzie throws a body punch but Alberta moves out of range. MacKenzie tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Alberta is able to avoid easily. MacKenzie gets tackled into the cage by Alberta. Alberta maintains the clinch. MacKenzie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Alberta just stands there and leans against the cage. MacKenzie pulls guard successfully.
Alberta is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. This has been an exciting period of action! MacKenzie has his foot on Alberta's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alberta works his way back into a safe position though. MacKenzie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alberta defends it easily. Alberta is sitting in close to MacKenzie's body. MacKenzie has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Alberta is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Alberta is tapping! That was a very nice submission by MacKenzie.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balboa swinging wildly here.

It looks like Chris Johnson has been cut. Balboa misses with a hook
and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown. Balboa fights it but they end up in guard. Balboa wants to sweep but no luck. Johnson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Balboa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson prevents Balboa from getting back to his feet. Johnson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Chris Johnson just wasn't active enough. Balboa swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Balboa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Balboa swivels and escapes. Balboa throws a shot from downtown. Johnson moves away and avoids it. Mickey Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Balboa has cracked Johnson with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Balboa lands another huge swinging hook and Johnson tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Johnson, before Balboa can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mickey Balboa! Mickey Balboa really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Red Bills clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Suez persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing. Suez fails in his attempt to clinch. Jackson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jackson works the jab nicely. The fighters circle momentarily. Jackson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Suez does a little dance to reset his feet. Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Suez.
Jackson misses with a straight left. Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. No luck for Suez with that takedown attempt. Jackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Suez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away. Jay Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Suez. Suez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Suez tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance. Suez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Suez is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
Jackson stalks Suez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Suez's face. Suez staggers backwards, shaken. Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Suez. Jackson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Suez counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Suez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jackson tries to buck Suez off but Suez is having none of it. Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suez on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson prevents Suez from moving into mount. Suez misses with the ground and pound. Suez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jackson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Suez tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Suez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suez has hold of Jackson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jackson seems comfortable defending it but Suez has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jackson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jackson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Suez couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rafael Suez! Rafael Suez spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Hioki throws a hook but Kjeldsson avoids it easily. Kjeldsson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kjeldsson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hioki. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kjeldsson misses with a hook. Kjeldsson throws a right hand that Hioki ducks under and follows up with a left that Hioki also avoids with ease. Hioki thows a body shot but no joy. A looping hook to the body misses from Hioki. Kjeldsson does a little dance to reset his feet. Hioki gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Hioki misses with a takedown attempt - Kjeldsson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kjeldsson. Hioki closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kjeldsson quickly recovers to half guard. Kjeldsson is looking for a sweep. Hioki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That was a close second round but I would say that Hatsu Hioki will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hioki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kjeldsson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hioki missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hioki advances position into side control! Hioki tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. You can see the frustration on Kjeldsson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hioki looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kjeldsson is avoiding damage well.

Hioki is punishing Kjeldsson with some ground and pound. Hioki scores with punches to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hioki is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Hioki is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kjeldsson is defending well though. Hioki let's go of the attempt for now. Hioki is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kjeldsson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Niaz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Bloome won't allow Niaz to sweep him here. Bloome lands a couple of digs. Bloome trying to control the position from guard on top but Niaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bloome throws a big right hand that misses. Bloome postures up in Niaz's guard and throws a big left but Niaz blocks it. Bloome working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bloome won't allow Niaz to sweep him here. 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Stellben! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alcatraz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stellben changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alcatraz tries to avoid it but Stellben manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alcatraz to the ground. Alcatraz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Alcatraz throws a head kick but Stellben moves out of range.
Stellben tries to clinch up. Stellben shoots in but Alcatraz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Alcatraz has managed to clinch.
Stellben wants to take the fight to the mat but Alcatraz manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Robbie Alcatraz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Stellben. A nice glancing elbow lands by Alcatraz. Alcatraz comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Alcatraz lands an elbow inside that Stellben shrugs off. Alcatraz scores with a shoulder strike. A frustrated look appears on Stellben's face as he tries to break the clinch. Stellben has Alcatraz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Alcatraz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Alcatraz lands a damaging elbow. Alcatraz lands a nice knee to the body. Alcatraz pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alcatraz tries a knee to the head but Stellben blocks it.
Alcatraz lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Stellben changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Alcatraz fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stellben shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Alcatraz scores with a jab to the jaw. Stellben closes the distance and clinches up with Alcatraz, looking for a takedown. Stellben pushes Alcatraz against the cage but Alcatraz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Alcatraz throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stellben.
Stellben is rocked! A solid leg kick lands there for Alcatraz.
Stellben is still on wobbly legs! Can Alcatraz finish him? Stellben looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! Alcatraz gets a clinch. Alcatraz lands a big knee! That's hurt Stellben! Oh, he's all over the place! Alcatraz lands another knee that sends Stellben to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robbie Alcatraz! Robbie Alcatraz retains his welterweight title! In his post fight interview, Robbie Alcatraz started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch lands to the side of Caine 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Caiaphas Caine has been cut. Mills scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Caine lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mills looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Caine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mills. A cross from Caine lands. Caine just misses with a punch to the body.
Caine connects with the punch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Caine misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mills counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mills ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Mills looks to score with a jab to the body but Caine is just out of range. Mills throws a jab when Caine was well out of range. Caine cracks Mills with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Caine throws an off balance right hand
and Mills counters with a stiff right hand. Caine feints and as Mills raises his hands in defense, Caine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mills is keeping the position for now. Caine trying to control the position from guard on top but Mills is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mills looking for a sweep. Not yet Mills, not yet. Caine drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mills dives on top into guard. Caine is trying to control the position but Mills postures up. Caine working a defensive guard but Mills passes into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mills stands up out of the half guard. Mills misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Caine.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mills. Mills looks to land a right hand but Caine moved out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Caine. Mills does a little dance to reset his feet. Mills throws out a powerful jab. Caine blocks a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Caine blocks a low kick nicely. Caine misses with a body shot.

A slow jab from Mills misses its intended target. Caine misses with a body shot.
Caine misses with a looping right. Mills misses with a series of wild punches.
Mills uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Caine.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caine connects with a body shot. Carl Mills is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circling - Caine throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Caine misses with an uppercut. Mills saw that one coming. Mills tried to score with a low kick but Caine checks it. Mills is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Caine misses the shot to the body. Mills misses with a low kick. Caine swings for the body but Mills moves out of range.
Mills wants to land a leg kick but Caine is out of range. Caine connects with the punch. Caine misses with a wild body shot. Caine lands a jab to Mills's midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caine misses with a looping right. Caine shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mills napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mills tries to bench press Caine off him but Caine keeps the position. Mills reaches up around Caine's neck trying to control. But Caine takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Mills! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Mills is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Caine celebrates the victory with the fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Caiaphas Caine! Caiaphas Caine retains his heavyweight title! Caiaphas Caine gave a mention to Red Bills clothing in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
