Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Carlitos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edwin Meadows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meadows has chosen Punky's Whips as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meadows tries to clinch but Carlitos is having none of it.
Carlitos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Meadows in his tracks.

Carlitos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carlitos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Carlitos unloads with some shots from mount but Meadows bucks and avoids them well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carlitos is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Meadows has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Meadows!

Kendall cracks Boom with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
